If you happen to test them on snow and ice on pavement would love to hear your thoughts. Yoko Geolander AT G015 & Cooper Discover AT3 4S is high on my list for my Limited when Falken Wildpeaks AT3W are done or if I get a really good offer for them.

Will do. With any luck we'll be done with snow, but not likely....had 4" this morning. All melted off the roads already, missed testing the yokos out by a few hours.

They look great! I bet they ride well too. I have a set of these on my 2015 Crosstrek drove around Lake Tahoe in January with no problems with ~ 50K miles on them.

I almost got the P-Rated version of these for the 4Runner, but ultimately went with the E-rated version.

I really like how the e rated look. A lot more tread and squared off shoulder lugs. I've always ran e rated tires on my pickups and jeeps but wanted to keep the 4Runner tires light....it'll be on the highway the majority of the time. And when these came up for $170 a piece I just couldn't pass them up.

That price and weight of the P-rated versions are hard to beat. I strongly considered it, I decided to do the E-rated for insurance because of the rocks around here.

Finally put a few miles on mine. No snow or ice yet. They're quiet, maybe a little noise over the factory duelers but still very quiet. They throw tons of small rocks and road grit. Our main highway into town is cement with some groves. They tend to follow the groves more than any at tire I have had. I kinda saw it coming, they have the "longitudinal" lines in the tread that tend to wander. Duelers did it as well as the factory tires on a lot of my older vehicles.

Averaged 20mph on the 22mile drive home so I'm happy.

Get you alignment redone. Have them add caster. There a couple threads on it.

    It'll help with the wandering.

Did you get any shimmy or viberate in the steering wheel?

Zero feeling in the steering wheel. Balance feels perfect.

    Alignment Wednesday.

Do you think pushing caster forward will lessen the "darty" feeling? It did it with stock duelers too. Or are you just thinking for more clearance?

"slacked" our caster makes me think of a downhill bike, slaked out head tube to make it less darty....maybe not the same idea with a car....or maybe it is.

Camber definitely needs adjusted. Can tell it's on the positive side.

Yes, it should absolutely get rid of that darty feeling. Your truck will want to straighten itself naturally while driving down the road. I replaced my entire suspension and the new UCA’s pushed my castor past 3 degrees and now it wants to track straight. Previously, from the dealer it had been a bit darty as you say.

Darty through the steering wheel too? This has no feed back through the wheel.

It's mostly the tire and road combo. Only about a 15 mile stretch of cement road that has some pretty aggressive groves in it.

Our outback did it before I put Toyo open country at3 on. My f150 did with stock tires, but in no longer does with the falken wild peaks.

Either way I will ask if they can push the caster forward and report back.

Not really sure about the steering wheel, although the wheel would turn when the tires would wander.

When you get your alignment, see if they’ll provide a printout of the before and after numbers. I’m curious what your current castor is. Mine is a bit over 3* on both sides and it tracks straight and rides smoothly. Let me add, I drive 40 miles each way to work on the interstate between 80-85 mph (that’s the normal speed around here) and any issues would be magnified pretty quickly.

It's an odd feeling. Can feel the back wander too. I'll see if I can get the alignment specs on Wednesday. I'll be sure to ask about pushing caster forward.

And it's just this bit of cement road. Smooth as can be on asphalt.

Well it's at the alignment shop as I type. Guy said you usually can't add any caster so I don't have very high hopes.
I asked for a spec sheet before and after so we'll see what happens.

You gotta post more pictures! Do the 255s come off narrower then stock? I'm curious since you added 8.5" wide wheels.

I don't think they look any narrower. I think the wheel width might help. I need to get some more pictures one of these days. Been trying not to drive it too much. Nasty, wet, salty roads lately.

Heres one from the other day while cleaning the garage.

They are very good in snow ice sleet. The rubber compound is a little soft.
Yokohama literature says that the rubber compound is infused with "orange oil." Whatever that means?
They are not super in deep snow....but that's what I have 4 wheel drive for:yes::D

I've had them a year now. Been pleased with them. I really haven't driven in much snow, when it's snowy wet or salty I drive my rusty old paid for pickup. The 4Runner has had a pretty easy life so far. Few trails and fire roads this summer but other than that just highway miles with the family.

will this size tire fit well on stock ORP wheels or TRD Pro wheels?

im very tempted to to sell my Wildpeaks and get Coopers or Yoko AT tires.

They should fit just fine. Even on stock suspension I don't think you'll have a problem. I just have a 1" level and there's plenty of room.

    thanks.

It has a 1" level. Just a simple cornfed spacer. I'll do 6112s sometime down the road.

    Ah .Thanks

Any chance youd be able to post a straight side shot? I'd be using 7" wide Pro rims and was wondering if i might end up with more height..
