What exactly are the front and rear valances? Why did you wrap them with xpel? Just curious, I like the detail you used to track your build; nice work!

 

Front and rear valances are on TRDORP and TRDP’s. They are the pieces on the front and rear you see in the photos that come silver on TRDORP’s and they come black on TRDP’s. I’m not a favor of the silver so I initially had them wrapped in my opinion with one of the best wraps, Xpel.
Since then I changed the front and rear valances with black TRDP valances.

 

As usual, a great series of posts.

What fuse tray did you use? It looks smaller than a lot of the ones that require moving other bits around in the engine compartment.

 

I fabricated it myself from a raw piece of aluminum.

 

Really cool looking truck. The rear tire mount, is that a SSO product? I see there is mentioning of ctnewman, not sure if that's a place you can buy from or not.

ctnewman is the brains and mechanical engineer that made 6 carriers counting his. He told me he was only going to make 5 and that was it. I got the 1st one he made in the 5 lot batch.
SSO talked with him after seeing mine and another gentleman that has an off center carrier and now SSO is making them here in Baton Rouge, LA.

I heard that about SSO as well, but for now the drama has scared me away - I'll let the dust settle and watch for folks reporting that they've finally recieved their orders and such.

Interested to hear your opinion on the Eibach vs the 6112. I had the Eibach 1.0 on my 2018. No major complaints, just stiffer than I wanted. I’ve been looking at the 6112 to replace the xreas on my 22

 

I had the same set up on my previous T4R and was happy. I prefer the Bilsteins, they offer a different ride.
That’s just me!

I bought Toyota OEM Black ones that come on the TRDPro’s from my local dealership.
