The one potentially set aside for me can be up for grabs. I realized that after not having this for the last 4+ years, I didn't miss it, and apparently don't need it after all.

When you unlock the vehicle, they’ll be on for a certain amount of time. Same with when you lock it. Gives some light to approach and leave the vehicle. I believe it defaults to 30 seconds

Progress update on 2021+. Going to pull ignition and hazard positive from somewhere else. Using the 40 pin plug on the back of the instrument cluster is too much work just to pull two pins over to the new harness. Planning on pulling ignition from the 12V socket and hazard from right behind the hazard switch. New connectors are ordered

I'm still waiting for my SmartTap to show up. Has anyone installed their adapter from Kezin yet?

It does catch more attention than regular flashers. One of the benefits of the module!

Thanks! Full disclosure on the 2021+ (I think actually 2020+). I have a “working” module/harness right now that I’ve been using daily for about a month. Two caveats. Arrival and departure lighting from the SmartTap is not working and likely will never work. Second is that the Instrument Control Panel needs the ground from the turn signal to cancel the Lane Departure Alert when changing lanes. I have a couple ideas on how to make that work but trying to weigh the cost vs benefit.

Finally got a chance to install the mount/harness from @Kezin and the relay! Mounts perfectly to factory mounting point and with the relay it works perfectly. I have multiple hazard strobe options and the tap/turn signal! Thanks for the great product!

Unfortunately not. It’s working well enough for my liking so further iterations have been moved way down my priority list. It is getting hot here in Texas though so might mess around with the harness since it’s a mostly inside project.

I do. Send me a DM. If your signature matches your current vehicle, I can make one for you
I’ll tag you when I get a complete 2020+ version. Right now lane departure alert has to be turned off or deal with it beeping when you change lanes even with your blinker on.

After running the harness for nearly 6 months now, I have to say that it has been a nice quality of life upgrade and is going strong.

I’ve gotten used to the single tap blinker functionality for lane changes in the newer Toyotas so now this is available in my 2015 4Runner along with all the other blink modes the SmartTap offers.

Additionally, I’ve added the Diode Dynamics Tail-As-Turn kit (which swap the blinkers to the brake lights and turns the tail turn signal lights into brighter back up lights) and it’s been working flawlessly in this setup.

I also have been running Kezin's SmartTap harness modified for a 2023 4R LTD, and it works flawlessly. There was some issue with the power sourcing for the module (something different in wiring for '23 model), but I worked with Kezin until he got it figured out and now it's working perfectly. I highly recommend it!

Only change I've noticed is that the blinker sound seems much quieter, so I've been that guy driving down the freeway "stupid, stupid, stupid"... But mostly I catch it before I get too far along. I use the turn signals for turns and the SmartTap for lane changes.

@Kezin is this technically doable with a 2010? Note I have a Canadian model with the turn signals as DRLs.

2010 has a different part number for the flasher relay than 2014-2019 but the connector looks the same. As far as the replacement, it should not reduce functionality at all. One of the goals was to replicate existing functionality and add to it. There are a couple Canadians here that I’ve shipped 2014-2019 harnesses to that might chime in on the DRL functionality.
