Not sufficient in the real world when you hit rocks. Keep your A-Trac active folks.

If things go well, let us posted. I would want to get rid of the rear sway bar as well.

My ‘23 ORP stickered at $52k and when I bought it in October the dealer immediately discounted it to $46k without me having to haggle any. It has KDSS as well.

I was at the PA Auto Show yesterday and Toyota had a burnt orange Pro with a sticker at just shy of $58k.

The only features of the PRO I’d want are the wheels which I can buy now, the dual climate control, and cooled seats. Not worth the difference though in my opinion.

Not sure why you want to downgrade to TRD Pro wheels when you already have TRD ORP wheels?

    Exactly!

I'd never get PRO wheels on purpose. I'd go aftermarket or keep the OR wheels.

They carry the 34s perfectly fine. One can spend the $1,000 on something useful off-road.

I like the ORP wheels. I just like the darker wheels a lot. My wife’s vehicle is an Acadia AT4 and it has the black wheels on it and looks sharp.

TRD Pro wheels do not meet the requirements to run bigger tires like TRD ORP wheels.
TRD Pro wheels do not have valve stem protection. Why I say TRD Pro wheels a downgrade from TRD ORP wheels.

    Hey @ToyotFan
That makes sense. I wanted black wheels myself. I spent quite a bit on 9" wide aftermarket wheels of my dreams in '21, completely black + black PROCOMP lugs.
This was before I knew about 4Rs. com, and before I knew the value and demand for ORP wheels especially near mint condition. Still kicking myself for selling them too cheap on FB marketplace. They sold in seconds..

    Good luck

Watch this and decide if you want KDSS or Pro. Not mad flex to drive over boulders or something, but enough to keep you stable and comfortable on this kind of terrain. Speed way below the limit of KDSS which is 12 mph. And unlike Jeep's swaybar, KDSS works in 2WD too.
You will see mostly trail queen Jeeps here. I turned back from a crazy trail.

Forget the heat and cooling, give me the position memory seats. I'm so sick of my wife and I going back and fourth adjusting drivers seat!

$6K off would be a good deal. That would make me lean ORP for sure, $2600 is the best I've found. The Pro you saw at the auto show is the one I'm looking at. They had to hold it till after the show. Guess I'll find out tomorrow if it's still available or not.

I hear you! My wife doesn’t often drive my truck but on long distances I’ll have her drive so I can rest. Theres such a big difference between her seat position and mine that it’s a whole ordeal for me to set it back. I really don’t understand why none of the premium trims other than the limited have this feature (SR5P, ORP, and Pro).
My wife has it on her car and it’s so effortless to switch seats.

That's what I did, but heck now I'd do SR5 Premium.
    But I think your right.
It's always gunna be circumstantial for folks tho. There's ppl who don't have the time and interest to research, purchase and deal with installation of add on's. Maybe no garage. PRO is alluring, the FOX susp. is real smooth. I heard new ones can have center console safe and front/rear dash cams. They have the better sound system, many of us have modified our ORP audio.

Here in Denver CO there's a sticker saying $4000 off MSRP. Didn't check for details. Just took this pic.

Yes, I believe so. Didn't take anymore pics of that or check what accessories it has.

Awful approach angle. The Limit makes sense, but Sport?

They do build vehicles for the 90% of owners who spend 95+% of their time on the road. Even buyers of 4WD body on frame vehicles mostly fall into that same category. It’s great that many here use their vehicles in places that require serious off road angles, articulation, clearance, etc. but that’s a very, very small portion of owners. Hence why Toyota offers a trim like the Sport, for those not wanting or willing to pay for a Limited, and not planning to do any serious off roading. There are other use cases besides yours.

If people are buying Lexus GX460 with Highlander like ground clearance, no standard full fuel tank skid, etc Toyota would have thought why not have a cheaper trim with onroad manners. Not every one buys for off pavement needs. I do see few TRD Sports in the dealership lot, so maybe there's a demand.

For the ORP wheels, what is the largest tire you can put on them without rubbing and without needing to modify the wheel wells?

It's not a matter of rubbing, although the PRO wheels' offset is more likely to rub with a given tire than the other wheels.

The biggest issue is that they're only 7" wide, which is below spec for most 285's. A lot of people do run 285's on them, though, so you're probably not going to have issues. If planning to go even wider than 285, I'd definitely avoid them.

I watched a video this morning on YouTube of a guy who painted his ORP wheels matte black with black center cap and red Toyota emblem and I really like how that looked. Would the 285's work just fine on the ORP wheels? Would I need to do anything to account for the speedometer if I go with a larger tire?

285's are generally rated for 7.5-9.5" IIRC, so you'd be fine. The speedometer reads around 2-3% high with stock tires, and 285/70/17's usually cause it to read more accurately. Mine matches GPS with 285's.

Dumb question, what's the exact size for the 285 tires? 285/?/R17 ?

I've been looking at Goodyear Duratrac RT tires.
