I made the exact same harness. Installed same but only driver side lights up. The bulbs i installed are: https://a.co/d/gERRSvQ

is it not working because they are polarity sensitive? Or too high lumen?

Just asking because I haven't tried yet and want to get as much info before I start. Also I'm curious where the other posts are that show how to wire it up.

It would be too easy to find a 6v led bulb that had a the 9005 male end. I can find 6v bulbs for motorcycle but wrong end..

Got the DD HP48 bulbs.. built same wiring harness.. put it all together.. now both DRL don't work.. and when I put my old halogen bulbs back in they don't work anymore either! Zero idea how I could've fucked this up... pretty simple thing. Guys have any idea how I can figure out why my DRL's are lighting up anyore?

You probably shorted the circuit while making the connections. Check your fuses. Then check the harness that you made for any shorted wires. The harness is just a simple way to extend the +wire to the other side as +12V. From factory, each bulbs gets 6v due wired in series.

I believe it is actually a relay and not a fuse. Located in the small relay box next to the main fuse box in the engine bay.

Not sure on how to check it, yours looks different to mine. I would start with searching the part number for the relay to see if replacing it is cheap. I did read that some people who had issues with DRL going out disconnected the battery for a few minutes and after reconnecting was working again.

I will have an extra harness available in a couple of days. Just waiting on the LED bulbs to show up and verify that the harness I made will fit and work. Thats if anybody is still looking for one.

Today, I added a vinyl hood scoop decal to help reduce the glare. I also added custom printed TRD Pro decal on each side.

I got the vinyl from Amazon. The TRDPro decals, I made them at home using a vinyl cutter.

So if I'm seeing these harnesses correctly, the blue one goes to the bulb itself, the other side connects to the harness, yes? And it looks like the two wires off the harness connector are spliced together into the one wire on the bulb socket, and the other wire is to ground?

It depends on the bulbs that you're going to use. If they are polarity sensitive, you need to treat the PINK wire as positive and ground the other wire. Actually, the original bulb connector on passenger side carries just 1 signal which is +12V. We are just extending it to the other side to eliminate the series circuit. Hope the diagram below helps.

Where did you get the hood scoop decal at? I need to get this as I know it will be an issue this summer.

If you're talking about one of these, that folks use to upgrade the halogen DRLs to LEDs, you'll probably be better off just getting a pair from Amazon. I have an extra, but I'm planning on using it on my daughter's '23 TRD ORP to upgrade her DRLs to LEDs.

So the blue connector goes to the new led bulb and the other connector goes to the back of the current wire coming out of the oem bulb? I’m not seeing where the current wiring would disconnect anywhere else.

Do a search for the DRL harness, there's some good info about how to wire up the add'l harness. If I remember correctly, the connection at the engine side is "normal", just plug it in, same goes for the bulb end. But you have to cut the red and black wires in-between the new harness, splice together the red and black wires coming from the engine side of the connector, and connect them to the red wire coming off the bulb. That leaves the black wire coming off the bulb, which you put to ground. This way only the new harness gets cut up, the OEM harness is left alone (but plugged in to the other end of the new harness). Doing this supposedly increases the power going to the DRLs, so that LEDs will work like they're supposed to. All I know is it works, I have yellow LEDs that I'm using for DRLs.
