    The hitch can’t be covered without removing the hitch so I really thought he meant the rubber plug to put into the hitch.

    Thanks everyone, I agree it protrudes too much for a piece like I have on my Tahoe. I got the rubber insert and put that in, looks ok.

    Wow, that appears to add a lot just to cover the hole. Does the receiver extend beyond the bumper, or is that extra length all cover?

    ^I suspect the receiver extends beyond the bumper cover just like it does on the current 4Runner.

    ^Looks like earlier display models didn't have a tow hitch.

    The picture also shows the source of the LC's low ground clearance - it's the spare tire!
