    Hey man, I'm doing great thanks.

    What rear weight is it? If it's on the rear bumper, then you'll want the 327's in the back, since that weight is a good amount of leverage on the rear suspension. The rest of the parts are correct.

    I have a drawer system in the cargo area and a C4 ladder in the back. So the weight isn’t too far back but still over the rear suspension.

    Ok. C59-325 would be about 1.5-1.75" of lift and the 327s would be 2-2.25".

    Hey bud,

    There technically isn't one.

    Dobinsons USA put this out since Americans couldn't get over the "there's no rebuild schedule" thing, as so many other brands of rebuildable shocks have really low rebuild intervals.

    So anyway, take this with a grain of salt. I have 60k miles on my 3.5 year old MRA's and I've never had to do anything to them.

    I did end up adding the spacers at your recommendation. I almost removed them as there was over a 2” height difference in the rear over the front. But I went on a road trip first, thankfully, loaded down the runner was almost level.

    I’m looking for a mild 1.5” lift while maintaining about 1.5” of rake on a stock load vehicle. Would the below combination be recommended?


    Front Springs: C59-296 - 1.5" Lift
    Front Shocks: GS59-700 - Twin tube
    Rear Springs: C59-599 - 1" Lift
    Rear Shocks: GS59-705 - Twin Tube

    Yeah, that's correct. It may be closer to 1.75" of rake though. If you want to reduce the rake more, you can use the C59-300 2" front coils

    I believe you can get either 2 or 3 degrees based on how you install the spacer (on the chassis mount) it comes with. It can be installed in front of the strut for 2 degrees and a little extra body mount clearance, or behind the strut for 3 degrees of built-in castor.

    That's correct.

    I ended up with 4.5 degrees of caster with my alignment once they were installed and adjusted.

    So that you can get the perfect alignment by adjusting the upper and lower control arms

    I get that. My question is more toward the cost of each. On Dobinson website the tubular UCA’s claim up to 3 degrees of castor. I don’t see that for the aluminum, which cost about $300 more.

    I had the same thought, but the instructions that come with the UCA are more detailed than the advertisement. You still get 3 deg (or less if you want) and you can get even more as Mike alluded to above, because you can use the camber tabs on the LCA to move it all the way forward (increasing caster even more) and use the UCA adjustment to fine-tune (fix) camber.

    This also has the advantage of moving the tire away from the body mount.

The new Dobinsons Billet Aluminum UCA’s are just that, machined from a single piece of billet aluminum to produce a single arm with the best strength available. Don’t be fooled by other cast aluminum arms on the market, they aren’t as strong as billet aluminum. In addition to being a one piece arm, Dobinsons went one step further to incorporate the factory features of stock UCA’s that make stock UCA’s last so long – their high quality ball joints and OE full rubber bushings with vulcanized sleeves.     Mike, I finally was able to get my MRA + 302 front and 325 rear coil set up installed and am absolutely loving it so far! With the constant weight in the rear, the 325 net me 1.5" of lift, but i was hoping for a little more. Would the 327 get me closer to 2" of lift in the rear, or would I possibly be able to swing the 675V?

    That's great to hear. Yes, the 327's would bring it up that extra 1/2". What's your hub to fender measurement in the rear now?

    Ok. 327s usually sit at 24-24.5” depending on the load so I'd expect that 24" with your weight

    So I'm looking to replace the shocks and struts but keeping the stock height (stock springs). Ideally I'm hoping for less body roll on the road but not too mush harshness on FSR etc. Am I correct in looking at the Dobinsons GS59-700 struts for the front and the GS59-701 for the rear? When going on roadtrips I usually have a fridge in the the back along with my dog. I also sometimes tow a 700-900lb trailer.

    Yes, those struts and shocks would work just fine with the factory coils. You could also consider adding a set of helper air springs inside the coils if that trailer has a heavy tongue weight. https://exitoffroad.com/product/firestone-4135-coil-rite-rear-helper-air-springs-airbags/

    Hey crikey, are C59-323 rear coils stiffer than the oem springs?. I'm running trd pro shocks but id like to stiffen up the rear a little.

    I thought all 4runner shared the same rear springs?
