Did you hook it directly to the battery or use an add-a-circuit?

I did hook it up directly into the battery. I might try the add-a-circuit though.

It shouldn't make any difference. I tested mine by hooking directly to the battery first and it worked fine. I would contact Aspire--their customer service is good.

Has anyone figured out how to wire this so it can only turn when when the key is in the accessory position or when the vehicle is running? I have forgotten to turn it off once after parking. Would be nice if this shuts off when the car is off to prevent this in the future.

Thanks for pointing it out in that link!

I currently have the anytime fog light option installed not the fogster option. Power wire is currently connected to the + side of the battery. If I switch that to plug into the INJ fuse slot instead like mentioned in the link, the fog lights will turn off when the vehicle is off? Or am I missing anything else? Thanks!

It’s name is “The Britebox Anytime”. What it does is “anytime” you push the button to switch it On, the battery +12V is connected to the fog lights. No matter the state of the key position or if the engine is running or not.

If you want the fogs to turn off when the engine is off connect that supply wire to a 12V source that acts that way. The INJ fuse is one.

I am about to buy the anytime kit (at least I think that’s the one I want) for my 21 orp but my question is, which version of this kit is the one that will make your low beams stay on while you have your high beams on? I thought I read when your high beams are on your low beams can stay on as well. Is that a different version of this kit? I’ve only read about the anytime fog light option so far on this thread. I would like the option to do both things if possible. Keep my low beams on with my highs if I want & also use my fogs ‘anytime’. If there is a certain kit I need to get for that please lmk. Or if that’s not possible & I have to choose one or the other also lmk please. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Why not direct your questions to Aspire? They'll steer you to the right solution.

I actually did. Right after I asked here I sent them an email. I think the answer is that the low beams do stay on with the highs and the fogs become an option via toggle switch (with the anytime kit anyway) but I hadn’t heard any talk of the low beams staying on with the highs throughout this thread so I just wanted to ask to get feedback from people who’ve already installed the Brite box. If I hear back from them before I get an answer here I will post their reply incase it helps anyone else. Thanks.

Yes, high beams, low beams and fog lights can all be on at the same time.

Excellent thanks! One more question, do the fog lights go on & off with the provided toggle switch or is that switch just to turn on the ‘anytime’ function & then u use the factory fog light switch? Just wondering if after this install the factory fog light switch is still used. Or is it only used when you want to use the fog lights as u would have pre-broke box install?

If the BriteBox switch is off the factory switches work normally, i.e. as designed. With the BB switch on the fog lights are on and the headlights can be low beam or both high and low beam.

Did you order the 'anytime' or 'fogster' version?

I just realized the anytime or fogster is determined by the installation, thanks.

Sounds like you might want to look into the mod to turn your halogen DRLs into auxiliary high beams. Fogs plus high beams do not equal better high beam (distance) performance.

I have a '22 and am interested in both the Anytime Bright Box and the halogen DRL mod. Info or link on the DRL mod? Maybe I missed the DRL info
    Thanks

There’s a long thread on the other forum about upgrading to OEM LED headlights. Some people with the 2022 bi-LED headlights have said they made mods to power up the halogen DRLs when the high beams are on. I have not seen any detailed how-to instructions to do this. But if I did it I’d use a fuse tap to get headlight power, maybe from fuse (10A H-LP H-LO) (see page 2 of schematic), run it to a relay and control it with the LED headlight wire that selects high or low beams. Wire the relay output through a fuse to the right halogen high beam and through another fuse to the left halogen high beam. And provide a wire to GND for each headlight. This would require some cutting and splicing into the halogen headlights connectors, or using purchased mating connectors to be able to restore it to OEM. Note that you would not have DRLs anymore.

Then there’s a thread about just converting the 2022 halogen DRLs to dim LED DRLs. At post 17 I posted the headlight schematics as a reference. Let us know if you do this mod. Good luck.

    Reviving this subject.
Anyone with a '22 done the install yet? If so, where did you plug in the fuse tap on the engine fuse box? Alterations? Recommendations?
I've ordered one but seem to remember that the '22s have a different engine fuse box set up?
    Thanks
