Fumoto Oil Drain Plug

    Had Fumoto on my Tacoma and never had issues with it. Currently have Stahlbus on the Runner and Goat without issues.

    Love the fumoto on my tundra. If our 4R ever comes, a fumoto will go on at the first oil change.

    The only concern I have is some freak accident where the valve opens during operation (if you have a skid plate, this is virtually impossible). Would it be wise to also put a threaded plug on the downstream side (belt and suspenders approach)?

    Sort of off topic but for those who's got the fumoto and still have toyota care. Will the toyota tech remove the fumoto and replace it with a factory drain plug or will they use the fumoto since it's on there? I just bought my 22 ORP and looking to put this on when I do my 1k mile break in oil change.

    Still sitting on a cargo ship
    Have one in my Tundra. It’s perfect. I used to use a hose to direct the flow, but it comes out fairly slow and controlled on it own. No hose. Very little mess. No need to re-torque a pan bolt. I’m a fan

    I had one on my BRZ that was lowered on coilovers, wasn't a concern, I was more likely to high center or scrape the resonator on my mid pipe than I was to hit my drain plug.

    assuming you closed the valve correctly this cannot happen. The lever is held in a groove by spring tension and you have to pull the lever out of the groove and then twist. Unless someone goes under your truck and pulls the skid plate to get access to your drain valve, you have nothing to worry about. :)
