What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

Rotating tires today and I noticed this small cut on my KO2. Is this anything to be concerned about?

Agree, but if it's simply rubber peel it'll likely outlast the other three. Unless the same spot takes a more substantial blow. Something to keep an eye out for, for sure.

 

Hmmm, good eye, thanks for pointing it out! I double checked just to make sure…all is good, it doesnt wrap back far enough to touch the line.

You should have seen the property taxes on my Tacoma. I thought it would be much worse for my 4Runner, but I'm fortunate the city changed how they calculate the taxes.

 

Bought and added to my tool kit a small handsaw that takes reciprocating blades in case I got in a situation that I needed to cut some metal, etc.

 

Taxation is theft. Not that we have a choice…

 

Trying to dial in this alignment but otherwise fox 2.5 is the shiznit

Even if the wires are temporary, i got tired of looking at the spaghetti.

 

Installed some n-fab steps on my wife's 4runner. She likes the looks of the predator steps but we were able to get these for quite a bit cheaper. Reviews said that they rust so we just coated them with some diy bedliner yesterday and let them set overnight. Took all of 5 minutes to get them on with the wife's help.

 

Already had it done before this. I’m clear there, just banged my pinch welds flat, trimmed about another 1.5” off the bumper, trimmed rocker panel caps, and trimmed more fender liner. Nice and clear now

 

I need a 4x4 turn off reminder...!!!
(BTW not bad 22mpg on highway with 4wd)

A couple dozen or so bolts, a few tabs, and bingo bango….. it’s install time!

only 2 washers and 3 bolts left after everything is back together!

Omitted the fake louver under the factory plugs to add in some alway on plugs.

 

Glad I paid Earmark to install mine. I would have definitely screwed something up.

Yeah my Tacoma is still high, 2012 and I'm at $386 on that one. The way they do it here is they base it of the vehicles value, so basically if you own a Toyota you get screwed because they hold there value.

 

wow that looks like a major project. I did the Accessorides one and only had to remove the steering column

Luckily for me I have a neighbor who can fix, build, or install anything! Took him less than 20 minutes.

 

Bought two different sets of center caps that didn’t give me the look I wanted. What did I do? What any red blooded American does with a Dremel. Cut them apart and put them together! That’s the ticket….

 

Those painted calipers, though...Ive been thinking about this after having painted the calipers on my old 300C.

 

Undercoating every fall.
