I installed the Pedal Commander. I’m torn about how I feel about it. The PC makes the throttle more responsive but in all reality, the pedal response really isn’t too bad on my ‘21 TRD Pro.

What setting are you using? I thought it did a great job then read a better description on the modes and changed the settings and it gave me the feel/response I was looking for

    All of them.
. Thanks mine isn’t a whistle it’s a full out roar and the only way I’ve been able to silence it is to put the full fairing on. I picked up some 1/8 aluminum 50/52 last night and and had it cut 8x43 and tonight I’m going to shape it fit across the roof line and get it attached once I verify it works My wife is going to wrap it for me and then it will be good to go until the new rack comes in and I sell the front runner

I did the led interior light upgrade yesterday
I think everyone should do it! It’s fantastic! And a cheap mod.
I watched a Wanderlost you tube video for install tips and it was super helpful, I love those guys.

I looked in the glovebox. I couldn’t see a light anywhere. Must not have one?

I had it on Sport +3. I might try the Speed Booster. The issue with the PC is the there still was a delay when I press Ed the pedal down half way. I want that impressed.

Did you have your headlights on? It is only lit when you have your headlights on. It is not bright but a LED.

Iffy week for mods. Got my compressor installed
    E27CF54C-1A6D-45D6-A326-9A390ED0A763.jpg

got my rigd armor swing out carrier installed, but they forgot some bolts for the tire carrier. Good customer service. Should be here in a few days.

    819EE96A-4EF9-4220-B8C7-4E6220C3259A.jpg

Ordered a backup camera relocation kit from an unrelated company, rigid industries. For $125 bucks, they must have great profits for this Chinese camera. Glue coming out of the lens, cheap ass thread felt like plastic and snapped when I barely tightened it. Thankfully a 30 second phone call a d they had a new one shipped same day.

And to top it off, that rotopax is brand new. My other one exploded. Whoops. Great customer service from them as well. Warrantied it.

Strange, I'm running Sport +1 after running City +3. I do a lot of highway driving and found Sport or Sport +1 was just what I needed it's completely night and day over a stock pedal

Thanks for sharing your experience. It will no doubt help a lot of people looking at doing the same thing. In the end your grill looks great.

I had the same issues, fitment was off a bit in some places. Made some minor modifications myself now it looks great. Chose the white toyota letters across to match my white truck. One thing I really liked about this grill is that the toyota letters are actually screwed into the grill (arrived pre screwed in and were very straight looks good) vs just stuck on with some 3m tape like others. Don't have to worry about them flying off lol

    WHAT?!?!?
Did it split along the seams? I had a Kolpin brand plastic tank (similar to rotopacs) and it lasted about a year storing fuel in my garage. Apparently I didnt burp it enough and started to split at the plastic weld seam. Led to a slow leak, not an explosion.

Makes me even more sceptical of carrying extra fuel on a roof rack or bumper. I guess if I needed to, I would dump the contents into the truck as soon as I used 5 gallons.

    It sure did.

To be fair, I’ve had it on, full of gas (changed out monthly) for the last 2 years and rarely ever let the air out lol

Found these 10 Gallon Craftsman stackable storage bins at Lowes for $15 each. They fit perfectly in the back, 2x2 or 3 across. Model CMXXPBP10GT. We are using these for Camping Storage.

I recommend you bungee or ratchet strap them down if carrying heavy things in them. They will lift up on bumps and could hit you in the back of the head in an accident.

Thanks for that good suggestion. I will bungie these to the backs of the seats or the 2 hooks behind the rear seats.

The camping road we are going on is 8 miles of twists and turns and drops 2000' from the Blue Ridge Parkway at MP 308 into the Globe Valley at Mortimer, NC. Most of the road is wash board but in good shape, all Service Roads in the Pisgah National Forest, but fun to drive on in 4 Low. We scouted out this road yesterday heading up towards the Blue Ridge Parkway and only saw one other vehicle (White 4 Runner TRD Pro) coming down the other direction. No Cell Service (no Google Maps or Apple Maps) but the Sat Nav worked OK, until it started to take us onto closed sections of the road. We ended up buying a paper map.

I would go diagonal across the tops using the 4 tie downs.
I pay for the Gaia app on my cell phone that works without cell service / data.

You want to use the following layers. The MVUM map will show you all the legal trails in the National Forest.
    Gaia setup.jpg Routes.jpg

A free version is Avenza Maps. You have to pay for each map but the Motor Vehicle Use Maps (MVUM) are free.
They are not as detailed as Gaia but will do the job.
    Avenza MVUM.jpg

Here's a general link for MVUM:
    https://www.fs.fed.us/recreation/programs/ohv/ohv_maps.shtml

This shows all the legal Forest Service trails in every state.

Trying a new set of LEDs. Looks like they have extra $25 coupon now. I bet the price is good for 2 sets (low beam + high beam).

On the weekend of our Independence Day I would like to ask this one question. What exactly is political in this forum? Is this...Screenshot_20210702-223513_YouTube.jpg
Everything from the price of gas or lumber to the shadowing of the gun thread is political.
My only point is freedom of speech! If we cannot talk about current events or guns; what have we done? This is America with a freedom of speech; I understand that there are "terms of use" but where does that stop?
Anything & everything could be political. Including the current value of the 5th gen 4runner.
May my fate land in the hands of the moderators.
    Ryan.
