What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

Maybe a shot head on, and one from an angle. Trying to get an idea how they look width wise compared to 285s. The Mickey Thompson ATZ P3 is pretty much the same tire as the Copper ST Maxx

 

Definitely wider and taller that’s why I swapped from 285s to 295s They’re on a 17x8 FX Pro wheel.

 

Does anyone have a 17” black stone griddle ? If so can someone get the actual measurement off and maybe a guesstimate on weight? Our skottle has rusted pretty badly over the last two years and we are contemplating switching over to the griddle but I’m curious if it will even fit our drop down table on the rear bumper

 

Haha, I remember hearing you guys on the EIS calls. Didn't you have like four 550's? Our first two 550's were very early serial numbers, we lived the entire growing experience with a new platform, I learned about things from the Honeywell engineers that would make most tech's heads spin

 

I started there shortly after they divorced COP. We had one G450 that used to be a COP bird and a G550 that NetJets ordered but didn't take up (it was painted in their colors too). That one has a cool history as it flew some part 135 stuff for a short time and flew Metallica around while they were on tour. We ordered a second G550 and as the G450 started to get long in the tooth, they ordered another G550 and put the G450 up for sale. There was talk of getting a 650 but it seemed overkill for the missions we were flying (also, the damn thing wouldn't fit in our hangar with the 550s haha!). Gulfstream brought their demonstrator to visit at one point. Beautiful airplane!

 

Put 100 miles on her. Did that yesterday. Gotta do it tomorrow. So I drive ORP to work in order to pay for ORP.

I’m still waiting for my Nfab steps. Who knew real truck.com would take weeks to even ship them?

You won't regret it. I went back to 285s at one point and within a few months I was back on 295s lol It just looks so much better IMO. Now that looks like a truck. What rims/offsets? And of course what needy cutting?

 

Wheels are the FN Wheels FX Pro in dark gunmetal gray. They are 17x8 with 4.5" back spacing and 0 offset. All I did is a fender liner mod, no BMC needed. It's lifted 2.5" front 2" rear. Check out my signature for more details on my build.

Tires are 295/70/17, wheels 17x9 4.50” backspace, -12 offset and I still have my 1.50” spidertrax spacers on (leaning on removing spacers).

I have a cornfed lift on my pro suspension. 2.25” front and 2” rear.

I’ll be installing my UCA’s this weekend and have a 1” body lift to install also. I’m loving the extra height these tires give me.

 

Got my 265/7017 Falken Wildpeaks on today. Also paid off the 4Runner so that is always a good feeling! Wife’s Wildpeaks go on her Runner tomorrow.

 

Installed Rago Molle shelf. Bit of a pita to adjust shelf height.

 

Lame! Were they out of stock? Or, are they just dragging their feet?

How do you like those Mickey Thompsons? I was between them and the Toyo AT3 in spring and wound up with the Toyos because it sounded like the Mickeys would be loud. They look great!

I would lose the spacers. They'll still rub, but not as bad.

 

They make noise but they're not as loud as a dedicated mud tire. They have about 13K miles on them and still look brand new which is great.

 

Nice! I bought the 285 Toyos last April, but they obviously didn't hit the mark for me because I bought another set of wheels (Black Rhino) and tires (295 Yokohama MT) in January.

I should clarify that the Toyos are great tires. I just wanted to have some real mud tires, at least once.

 

I ran Ridge Grapplers for a short time and hated them. Hands down the worst tire on wet pavement I’ve ever used. In general I’m not impressed with Nitto / Toyo tires.

 

Toyo makes good tires. I don't think they're affiliated with Nitto, but I could be wrong. Nitto seems hit or miss.
