I just got rid of a Tacoma, which I have a shelf full of those filters. I’m short on 4Runner filters. The air filters are a lot nicer on the 4Runner I noticed also with the extra outer layer to catch ball bearings and rocks.

@ForRun we have the tss light on the dash. The wife and I just went out in mine. HOWEVER my radar cruise still works. So...... I’m leaning to maybe where I didn’t disconnect the battery at the time of removing the bumper I may have tripped a fault. Or my truck is nose down now because of the weight of the bumper and winch so I’m going to raise the front back up and see what that does. If it doesn’t work I’ll see if Toyota can recalibrate. If that doesn’t work I’ll either sell the bumper and buy another or since I have some small amount of fabrication skill I may cut the hoop off and re weld a larger hoop on. (Probably this one ) There is another member here with the same bumper and he does not have an issue I think it’s @3K9s on his 2020 grey pro. Maybe he will see this and chime in if his installing dealer had any issues.

I went with the AEM re-chargable dry filter since I was burning through filters so fast! Damn SW dirt was eating up the filters.280D91FA-DBE0-49A6-BE55-3836CFED4161.jpg

Figure get a quick answer here. Putting on some ext travel icons w/dirt king bj UCAs. I’ve searched but can’t seem to find a yes or no if I will need a spacer for the front sway bar? It’s a 16’ Sr5 4wd. With my tacomas I just took them off altogether with similar upgrades.

Decided to have a separate switch for the fogs so that I could turn them on and off without the low-beams.

The SS3s are the bee's knees... Brighter than Baja Designs and actually useful in fog. And the street-legal driving lights kick ass too!

Warren makes Kirkland oil, same as Walmart oil. They’ve been around forever and the Walmart oil gets great reviews in private testing. I’m sure the Kirkland oil is good as well.

I have heard nothing but good things about Kirkland so far. Interested to see what the Blackstone Labs test shows.

Changed my door lights to Yorkim. Still daylight outside, but a definite improvement. Took me about 1 min per door, maybe less. The tool provided is definitely a one time use, I have my “better” prying tolls from eBay.
If they go bad, I will spend more for a better brand.

And here are the map lights. I had to use small pliers to get the bulb out. Not to mention you need to look into it and the little f&$cker gets hot.
About 5 min first bulb, about 3 min the second

And here are the vanity lights.
I pulled the cover on the first and the actual housing on the second. Pull inner side. About 3 min per side.

i will not do the license plate lights. It seems the LEDs dont fare that good (at least the ones i read about) in the cold and they eventually fail.
Plus, i'm OK with my license plate not as bright :)

Nothing today. My wife is playing with her Cricut she got for Christmas so somehow my truck is now her canvas .... I installed my rear shackle hitch, decided to paint the trd skid black and the put the red letters back in unless I can find a good gunmetal fusion paint. Ordered king springs to bring the front back up which I think is what is causing the tss sensor to go off with the new bumper. I had the front jacked up momentarily and the light went off.

Leave the letters off. Just grab some gun metal paint and a 1/4” wide brush and go to town. Doesn’t have to be dead on, no one sees it.

Yes, I personally bent one and a panhard rod as well. Rolling across a creek I missed the easy up and ran right into a ledge, backed up and did it again. With the Disco, had extra driveshaft, tre's and brake lines, but no panhard...rough drive home (8hrs). I don't really wheel that intensely anymore, but if I did, I'd carry what you can break and fix on the trail.

Installed the Baja Designs Squadron Sport fog lights. Very impressed, brighter than my HID headlights and the amber light exposes a lot of detail at night.

Initial test of my cheap pod lights from Amazon. Didn't have much time last night.

(Need to find a way to cover other lights to test just pods. My aux lights are triggered my high beam, meaning when aux light switch is on and turn on high beams both light bar and pods will turn on)

Almost 20,000 on her. First change. Front diff and transfer looked clean, probably didn’t need new fluid. Rear diff oil was surprisingly dirty.

Toyota puts additives in the rear diff that makes the oil almost look black.

A lot of people mistake it as being dirty.

Yeah, a lot of people are surprised how dirty it looks when they change it.

    Nothing to be concerned about.
