Decided to match the roof rails to the badging I did. I went with a two tone color scheme, graphite in the center and black on the end caps.

    How she started.

The slick top look. I actually kind of liked the slick top look.

The finished product! I think it looks a lot better now.

Fixed the rear Passenger side door handle today. Used this video as a reference on how to get the panel off:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KtYX3PZYdJE&t=103s

First stop is to pop of the three screw covers and remove the 3 screws:
    [IMG]Untitled by redrunner87, on Flickr
    [IMG]Untitled by redrunner87, on Flickr

Then you just start at the bottom of the panel and pop the door panel off. Once you get the panel separated from door, you lift up and pull it out of the window track. Then you just unplug the power and release the two cables.

Next up you need a 30mm Torx bit and remove these 3 bolts:
    [IMG]Untitled by redrunner87, on Flickr

Once the bolts are out you need to push the locking mechanism and push it down so you can access the bolt for the door handle:

    [IMG]Untitled by redrunner87, on Flickr

That is basically how you remove/attach the rear door handle.

After the door I pulled the front mud flap. I was rubbing on the driver side when at full lock and hit a bump. Hopefully this fully solves the rubbing.

Didn't get any pictures so these are the ones I stole from the group. Went out with a local Tacoma group and hit up Mount Herman Road outside of Colorado Springs. It was a pretty tame trail but a had a good "playground" section. Definitely tested my ATRAC out on the hardcore off camber section.

We had an absolutely gorgeous day for February in Colorado(55 degrees in the mountains). I hit up Longwater Gulch with Colorado Springs Tacomas and it was an absolute blast. Still a good amount of snow, good amount of mud too.

When we started the trial we saw this 3rd Gen 4Runner stuck on the side of the trail. No owner around so we continued on. When we came back the owner hired a recovery company to get him out. What a shit show that was. Absolutely dangerous, they didn't Stay The Trail and were unprofessional.

Got my Ditch Lights and OEM Style Switches wired up.

Installed the CaliRaisedLED OEM Style Switches:

    [IMG]Untitled by redrunner87, on Flickr

Used this diagram to get them wired
    [IMG]Untitled by redrunner87, on Flickr
    [IMG]Untitled by redrunner87, on Flickr

Tapped into he "Green" OEM wire to the "Red 2" switch wire:

Build is coming along nicely! How's the rubbing after the addition of the spacers, do you notice any more than before or has it helped with the areas you rubbing as you mentioned at full lock

Thanks! So I removed the mud flaps and that ended the rubbing with no spacers. Everything was good until I added the spacers up front. This is the rubbing I am getting now.

Have you installed your cornfed spacers yet? I wonder if that would alleviate the problem?

Quick update: 6383 miles on the 255/80 Wildpeaks and just got done with the second tire rotation(first one was to get the tires on the same schedule as the maintenance light). Tread Depth is 15/32 with some off-roading.

Very nice build, I love the “low center of gravity” builds.

I have a 2014 4Runner 4x4 SR5 Prem and I’ve done Bilstein 5100 all around with the fronts set on the second clip (~0.85” advertised lift, got a little more than 1”) and the rear is stock coils. I’m wanting to keep the stock SR5 wheels and I’m leaning towards 255/80R17. I’ve read through all 4 pages and I have a question for you about the 255/80’s.

My question, did you rub at all offroad at full flex with your stock suspension? Before your spacers it looked like you had minor rub or no rub. Trying to decide if I can get away with leaving the Bilstein’s on the second clip, or if I need to go up to 1.75” or 2.5” and buy new rear coils for the 255/80’s.

Here’s how the 4Runner current sits with stock sized 265/70R17’s:

    Your 4Runner is looking good!

Thanks! I’m trying to keep it as low key as possible. Deciding on a mild lift right now.

Without spacers I rubbed on the rear mudflap, once I removed it I had no rub. Now that I added spacers I rubbed on the front bumper and body mount.

Thanks for the reply, I really appreciate it.

Maybe I’ll be okay keeping the mud flaps with the 1” lift and no spacers. We drive a lot of gravel and the flaps help keep the rocks from banging the doors

You could try to heat up the plastic and "flatten" out the little up on the front mud flaps

Time to wash all the mud off and shine her up.

    Products Used:
    [IMG]Untitled by redrunner87, on Flickr

    How we started:
    [IMG]Untitled by redrunner87, on Flickr

Step 1: Touchless Car Wash since I can't wash my 4Runner where I live. Came out OK, but you can see all the residue left behind.
    [IMG]Untitled by redrunner87, on Flickr

Step 2: Wash Wax All. Rear Fender has been wiped down with Wash Wax all and the Rear Door has not.
    [IMG]Untitled by redrunner87, on Flickr
    [IMG]Untitled by redrunner87, on Flickr

    Step 3: Turtle Wax ICE
    [IMG]Untitled by redrunner87, on Flickr

Step 4: Turtle Wax Ceramic Spray Coating

Started the reflective window covers for blacking out the interior when I camp. This was a little bit harder than I thought. 10ft roll only got 3 windows done.

    [IMG]Untitled by redrunner87, on Flickr

Messed this window up a little bit:
    [IMG]Untitled by redrunner87, on Flickr

...but because I am stubborn I was able to salvage it. I think I can get it totally fixed tomorrow:

I am a little late with these, this was a couple weeks ago. We went out and explored in the mountains outside of Colorado Springs.

We tested the first off-shoot off of the main Trail and we didn't make it too far!
