I saw some old threads about this but just want to confirm that this is normal. I have a 2023 and the brake pedal makes a hissing sound when I press on it.

It seems it’s a common issue on the 5th gens and nothing to worry about but the threads I saw about it were from 2019. Any new info on this issue? Still considered normal and nothing to be concerned with?

The elusive brake snake is a possibility but I don’t think that’s the issue.

Your truck has a brake booster - which is electric. The engine doesn't need to be running for it to work. Perhaps this is what you are hearing?

Maybe. The previous threads made it seem like it was normal and I’m not hearing anything to the contrary here now so I’ll assume that it’s normal and could be the brake booster.

    Thanks everyone!
