    Good to hear on the ride quality. Had always heard the Eibach setups were great from a ride perspective. Feel this kit would be perfect if you were heavy in the front with skids and heavy bumper.

    Which UCA’s did you go with. Mine are still stock with my westcott. I don’t plan on changing mine out. But curious what you went with.

    Freedom off-road, highly recommended OEM style bushings/ball joint single grease fitting not highly adjustable but have my caster correction I wanted.

    Just some heads up. But you probably know. I had to adjust my head lights down blinding everyone. I think with that being even more nose high it will be happening.

    Need them for what? To achieve OEM caster specs? Many if not most here haven't changed our UCA's on small lifts. Caster isn't structural or a tire wearing angle. It affects feel, handling and return to center, that's why it's expressed in a wider range. Once you stray from factory engineered geometry by raising your vehicle, those OEM specs are merely a baseline and no longer apply. It's exactly like tire pressure, the specs on the door are carefully designed for the OEM tire size, sidewall, and tread design. When you change tire structure/size the door placard recommendation no longer applies and it's up to you to figure out what pressure to run. Running a degree less caster has zero affect on any safety aspect most notice no difference in handling at all.

    Yep. You nailed it. The limit has seemed to be around 1.5-2” front lift and still being able to maintain proper caster. This lift seems to surpass that up front into the realm where most kits recommend UCAs. But sure, you can always “get by” without if you want. Just would be less than ideal. For some.

    I really want to see someone post their caster numbers after the lift. Just to compare with my westcott. When I had my 20 Pro with Eibachs and the 1.4 had no rubbing issues after removing mudflaps and adding the Rockbloz mudflaps. My westcott rubs only passenger side at full lock on the body mount.

    Yeah only passenger side and that’s why a lot stay with the oem wheel. The SCS wheel with the -10 offset pushes the wheel out more. I believe westcott even mentions as long as you stay with the oem wheel you only need to remove the mudflaps. That’s why I liked the Eibach springs because the caster numbers a little better on my 20 Pro. Also the Mickey’s seem really big for a 285.

    Everything is almost like Pro’s and con’s everything you do. With the wider wheel stand and the westcott lift I can take the back roads much faster without body lean and handles well. Lol.

    Yeah the down fall to that size not much to choose from and not much difference between the 265 plus the price is much more.

    I guess it makes sense because with the eibach springs since you didn't change the range of travel. The shocks will still max out at the same location. But if you have added tophat spacers(wd lift) you moved the travel range down. Which then the geometry isn't the same and uca might be necessary. Am I thinking about that correctly?

    I think it's the opposite. :) The top hat spacer doesn't change the motion...the spring expands the shock, and the wd perch. I think since wd uses perch and spacer, it's less.

    They both do it. Up travel is limited by bump stop and down travel is limited by shock extension. Whether you use a spacer or a stiffer spring the effect is the same, you are raising where the truck sits neutrally and giving up some down travel.


    The only way to get more total travel up front is switching out for long travel shocks. Tinkers adventure YouTube has a nice video on this, you can only go something like 1” longer before you start binding (I forget what hit first, either the UCA against the strut or the CV angle maxed out).

    I'm putting on larger wheels/tires (SCS 9x17 -38 and 285/70/17). But I have a '21 TRD Pro. I was going to move to completely new coilovers but then I saw the WD spacers and Eibach replacement springs. The new springs seems like a better option. I know this thread is for '23 TRD Pros, but I wanted to confirm if anybody knows, how their springs for the '21 compare? They're listed as 1.4" and 1.0" F/R lift. Do those seem to have a good track record? I'm still on the fence with a completely new suspension. But I figure for $400, it's not a bad option to try before committing to a whole new setup.

    Also, no additional added weight. No metal bumpers, tent, fridge, etc. Just the occasional luggage in back.

    Mine were fine on my 20 AG Pro when I had it with 285’s and the lift was the same height.

    Yes they are a little pricey but if you want to run flaps they fit tight to the body lines of the 4runner so much less chance of your tire rub.
