Does anyone know if a 2006 toyota 4runner headlight fit on a 2005 toyota 4runner headlight?

 

The bottom edge of the 06 doesn’t match the 05 so I’ll say no.

The following changes are made for the 2006 model year.

1. Exterior
Front Design:
Projector-type low beam headlights are used for the four-beam type headlights, achieving a high-tech image. The extension section is smoke-plated on the sport package model on the SR5 grade, achieving a design that gives a sporty impression. The radiator grille and front bumper lines create a trapezoid-shaped image, achieving a design that emphasizes the size of the front mask. A plated radiator grille is newly provided as standard equipment on the SR5 grade. A radiator grille that matches the exterior panel color is provided as standard equipment on the Limited grade. A smoke-plated type radiator grille is used on the sport package model on the SR5 grade, achieving a design that gives a sporty impression.

Rear Design:
The design of the rear combination lights has been changed to two stacked blocks, giving a powerful impression. LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) are used in the stop lights, taillights, and side markers, achieving a high-class design. The rear bumper has a large surface construction, giving a powerful and stable impression.

Side Design:
The cladding panel character lines on the side design achieve a design that emphasizes the vehicle’s length. The cross-section of the radiator grille is raised on the front, creating a powerful front hood. The over fenders are designed to achieve a three-dimensional arch. A plated outside door handle is provided as standard equipment on the SR5 grade. The design of the front over fenders, side cladding panels, rear over fenders, and rocker moldings has been changed. The design of the front and rear mud guards has been changed. Newly designed 18-inch aluminum wheels are provided as standard equipment on the Limited grade.

The following new exterior colors are provided: 1F4 Dark Gray Mica Metallic, 4S2 Bronze Mica Metallic, 8S6 Dark Blue Mica

2. Interior
Instrument Panel:
The design of the meter cluster has been changed. The decorative area of the heater control panel on the Limited grade has been changed from a marble tone to a blackwood tone. A coat hook has been provided for the rear No.2 seat on the models with the rear No.2 seat for better utility. The following changes have been made to the 2006 4Runner combination meter. A front fog light indicator has been provided on the models with the front fog lights. The turn signal indicator and ODO trip switch have been located in the combination meter.

3. All Engines
EVAP (evaporative) service port provided in the key-off monitor evaporative emission control system is removed.

4. Impact Absorbing Structure
Reinforcements have been provided to the center pillar to help ensure rigidity and safety.

5. Combination Meter
A front fog light indicator has been provided on the models with front fog lights. The turn signal indicator and ODO trip switch has been located inside the combination meter.

6. Lighting
The tail light, stop light and side marker light bulbs have been changed to LEDs (Light-Emitting Diodes).

I did the conversion, pretty simple. There's a post somewhere. I kept my 05 grille though.

 

Yes. It is easily doable. 09 lights on my 05... Not hard whatsoever just get the new trim piece and different bulbs as 06-09 are projector lenses and 03-05 are reflector.

 

Absolutely fits. Ordered lights and lower trim piece - comes pre-painted when I did it. Installed HIDs in the headlight and fog light projectors and aimed them correctly. Never needed high beams after that.
