TOYOTA JAMBOREE. May 2nd - 5th, 2024

Anyone planning to come out to the Jamboree?

I'm trying to decide if I should camp Thursday through Sunday or just come out for some Saturday fun.

This will be my first time at Jambo as well. Are you going from Thursday-Sunday or just doing the Saturday thing?

 

The full weekend. As far as I'm driving lol I'm definitely doing the whole weekend.

 

Fair enough. I'll be out there all day on Saturday. I may head up on friday night...
I'm undecided as I don't know what the camping situation will be like there. I'm used to camping in national forests with the wife. Not usually into the "group camp" thing

 

Went there last year. If you can get there early early before the gates open. We camped by this big tower close to where the vendors are. On the right side a little past the vendors. It was an excellent spot and you could walk to the main area.

 

That's what I'm planning on doing. It's a 2 day trip for me. So I'm leaving Tuesday and camping at KOAs on my route there.
I love the group camping because if yiu accidentally forgot something, usually someone else has it. But I also like my peace and quiet.

 

We are going as vendors. We will be there in our Bronco. Looking forward to seeing everyone.

 

I am super bummed I'm going to miss it this year, as I'm in Mexico until Sunday.

I'll be arriving tomorrow and be ready to wheel all day Saturday!

I'll be there around noon on Friday and will be camping the whole weekend. I'll wheel as much as I can every day! What about you??

 

I'll be arriving tomorrow night to camp, wake up early and wheel all day Saturday.
I may do some wheeling Sunday morning as well since I hear most people will be packing up... The trails should be pretty empty.

I'm on 34" all terrains so we'll see how they fare in the mud

For anyone with a stock bumper cover. It's going to come off on some of these trails. You can remove it ahead of time or let the trail help you take it off.

I stole the idea from @MI-FL off roader since my 80% rear bumper kit isn't in yet. Would have definitely demolished the factory rear bumper on some of these trails. Taking it off at camp was easy enough

Jokes aside the no bumper look was kind of growing on me lol. Definitely a function over form approach but I enjoyed having such great departure angle on those trails.

Took five minutes to reinstall the bumper before hitting the highway.

 

It was a blast out there. Met a lot of great people and had a ton of fun!

Now to spend hours cleaning tow rig, trailer, and trail rig.
