I anticipate it will be quite slow without a regear. But I've already had the shop quote me for 4.88s so I may just pull the trigger on it.
Going to hold off in the name of science. I want to see if it's really necessary.

Should ride smoother than my OME setup but we'll see

Edit: Next week I will be going to a local off road park for Texas Toyota Jamboree. I couldn't believe it when the shop told me rear long travel kits were available... Shit's been back ordered forever. When I saw how high the front is sitting the decision was made for me. And I'm okay with that

Dog proofing. Put in these seat back protectors. So far I’m impressed.

 

Honestly, even without a dog I like to put those grates up. We got hit in a Montero years ago, luckily the dog wasn't in there but the grate was still up and stopped a bunch if camping gear including a big Coleman stove from coming into the passenger area and injuring us. Similarly, a co-worker was injured in a Ford escape in an accident because the fire extinguisher came forward and hit her in the back of the head. Stow your gear!

Yes, it works on the 2023. I have installed in my truck.
The current sensor is a dummy switch. If you pull it out (giggity!), you'll see that it's a blank.
If you turn that option on, in the infotainment the screen will go black when you have the head lights on. It does it automatically because it thinks it is night time. If you have this sensor installed and drive with the head lights on all the time, then it will tell when it's actually dark vs light.

I really don't need it. I always dim my interior lt's an old habit as we did flying as so Caution Lts get you attention( those you can't Dim)(DUH for obvious reasons BUT!!). But I'll try now that I know I have it. Just need to remember to keep thumb wheel switch just off Max click. Working from home now barely venture out early am or pm like in the past. i.e. only 24++ miles on odometer since Nov-23 eh!!!!

New floor mats!

I never thought I'd care about floor mats. They're all the same right? Wrong. I like these better than WeatherTech's or Oedro's that I had in the past. Those were a very hard plastic, very rigid. Eventually they dried out and turned to shit.

These appear to be a heavy duty (but flexible) rubber. They fit like a glove and have a great protection area.

 

I do, I think. Only question is, when the sensor “protects” the screen from dimming. Is it putting it in “day mode” behind the scenes?

ORP is pre wired for it?

Do you have the part number of an OEM one?

My 40th AnEdition was pre-wired for it. I set the infotainment for "auto", and I drive with the setting on the steering stalk set to "On". That way the lights are always on, but the screen isn't black, unless it's actually dark out.

I had to order some other stuff from Diode Dynamics anyway so I added the map light and dome light LEDs on to the order. Quite a difference. This is the map light with both domes removed for the install and DD on right, factory bulb on left.

 

I'm trying to do the opposite, make mine white! lol

Here is my post when I installed it in my '23 ORP. You can see, after installing the sensor, with the headlights on in the daytime, the infotainment screen stays bright. Normally, the screen would dim and be difficult to see in the daylight. If I put a towel over it, simulating night time, it dims automatically.

For those that might not know: The sensor sensitivity levels are customizable. You need to have the dealer do it or get an app/adapter like Carista.

Really digging the stance with the 34" tires and spacers. did you do 1.25"? What are the wheel specs? (width, offset, backspacing?) As always, how's the rubbing?

 

Not today but yesterday I finally had the new wheels put on (with the old, stock size Toyo AT3's that have 25k miles on them). The wheels are FN Wheels dark gunmetal gray that everyone says are black so I'm just going with it. In another 15 months I'll probably replace the tires with 275's of the same thing.

No Rubbing after an aggressive BMC, Pinch weld mods and 3D printed rocker end caps. Edit* Forgot to mention the high clearance cut on the front bumper.

I was on the fence about going with the spacers but I like it. Its equivalent offset would be a 17x9 -38

I haven't flexed it out yet but if I can get away with it I'll keep the spacers on for the wide stance. Should look good with the future 80% rear bumper's side hoops as well.

 

Long Travel rear suspension is done. Installing a diff drop and making final ride height adjustments then alignment.
