I hit this at 55 mph. Dead center between the headlights. No time to hit the brakes. All it did was tweek the license plate frame. That bumper paid for itself that day. Yes, the deer went in the freezer.

imagine if this guy had a brush guard or stock front end vs this slimline bumper. Outcome would have been way different, enough said about going with a plate style bumper.

@akakaiser I think your points are valid… mostly. Once we move beyond the wraparound brushguard/garnish, to the bumpers that @Stoney Ranger and @TrailSpecial22 showed, we've moved into a category of legitimate protection. And yeah, a small bumper-mounted bull bar, might be a lucky shot against a deer, and maybe it won't protect the truck against a moose or even a mature buck, but it is legitimate protection. We can keep moving further into that category like the bumper on my Pickup (just a classic ARB with full bull bar; I'd post a picture, but if I do that one more time, @Borracho Loco says I have to sell him the truck). It offers more protection… maybe a slightly bigger deer, maybe it protects more of the truck. I think we're all striking a balance between some protection without going full Aussie.

Your bumper looks like it wouldn't block the radar cruise control sensor. Who manufactures it? Thank you. Bill

correct, no issues with the sensor. The bumper is from SSO. Southern state off-road.
