My family hasn't cared, though I sometimes act like my wife is farting as it is under her seat.
I like your setup. I keep my hose and psi meter in that space too.

is the included harness long enough to reach the battery?

If the dual is anything like my single then the main harness/battery wires are about 4' in length...not quite enough for an engine bay install by the passenger side firewall location but enough if you're installing by the main fuse box.

Had to replace my Dual ARB compressor due to moisture getting inside the compressor. It was not from being hit by water since I installed it inside in the FJ. When I purchased my 4runner, I went with a single ARB compressor because it fitted where I wanted it (above the wheel well compartment). Both compressor (dual/single) performed just as well. The only difference, I can't run any air tools on the single (not that I ran air tools often). Still have the old dual compressor waiting to be rebuilt in a box. Maybe someday I will do it (no rush).

Question: im a bit confused on which wire(s) to use to plug in to my switch panel to turn the compressor on and off. Can someone point me in the right direction?

It would be quite helpful to others if you would specify what switch panel and compressor (make/model) you are working with. While the majority of examples in this thread tend to be ARB, there are quite a few other options out there where some are powered up with just a load rated switch, some with a ganged switch/relay...

I built this a while back for a friend.

    https://www.4runners.com/threads/arb-twin-compressor-mobile-unit-in-box.28565/

The purple and red wire need to be sent to the aux beam I believe. If I remember correctly, when they are connected together, that is when the ARB turns on. So send those wires to the + and - on the AUX beam. I can confirm how I wired mine later this evening.

Edit: Actually, I think you only need to send the purple wire to the AUX beam. I'll double check later this evening.

Ah, same setup as mine but I must preface that I haven't completed my wiring yet (still waiting on fabricating the final brackets for my install.)

But, I've gone over the ARB wiring diagram and am confident that this is the way to go. I referenced the wiring diagram in the ARB Single Compressor Installation Manual, Section 4.2, page 12.

    Simplifying it goes like this:

Main motor power is routed from the vehicle battery via the 40A fuse --> 40A Relay by a heavy gauge (red) wire.

The relay is triggered by a low current +12V from a tap on the vehicle battery/fuse box, etc. via the main power switch. This is where you would connect to the Auxbeam (or any remote switch box channel) capable of handling up to 1A or so of current.

I've attached a pair of wiring diagrams to illustrate this better. Wire color codes on these illustrations follow exactly as the ARB factory wiring colors. The signal wires for the two solenoid switches and solenoid valves I omitted for clarity since I assume you do not have the air locker option.

*Note: if you do not want to use the ARB factory power switch then simply omit that and wire the Auxbeam channel directly to the Pressure Switch as in the diagram.
    Hope this helps you.

    Generalized installation.

Yep. Just purple wire for the switch. I ran the red too and didn’t need it. Ignore the wires below, those are for my hood lights. I have them on the same button.
