Just wondering what winch/bumper setups you guys are running, and why you like them. Search results didn't help me much. Pictures would be fantastic.
Not going to do any serious off-roading with this new 2024 SR5 Premium. I like having a winch. Very useful in a lot of ways. I have had one in one form or another for 35 years. Unfortunately, since 2004, due to snow plows, I have been forced to use a portable receiver hitch setup. The 4Runner seems like a perfect platform for a permanent front mount system. Looking for something that is good quality, and looks nice. Thanks very much.

Hidden winch specialists mount with a Warn Zeon 10s. Have used it a number of times and it’s worked great.

I just recently installed the CBI Covert Baja front bumper and a Harbor Freight 12000lb winch. I love both of them so far, form and function. The winch fit perfectly in the bumper with minor adjustment (had to slightly move the power steering line).

SOS low profile bumper with Warn VR EVO10S winch.

Last I heard, SOS was not doing well. But, a bunch of manufacturers make a low profile bumper, and they are mostly pretty similar.

The winch has been used a bunch for self-recovery, recovering others, and other uses. It was installed in 2020. I would almost certainly by the same thing if I was in the market again.

I chose the C4 Low profile with bull bar.
    Evo 10S winch.

I wanted a bumper as appose to a hidden winch mount because my bumper/ valence was always getting damaged when approaching big obstacles.

I chose the C4 because it's made to work with the Evo 10s and I just generally like the look. I've also heard good things about C4 in the past. No regrets with it. Easy install and works great with the Evo 10S as advertised. I can go back and add the high clearance additions if I'd like, but I don't feel it's necessary.

Went with the high bull bar for added protection and the look. It also works with the TSS sensor and camera. Additionally I've found that on a hard trail I can hang the winch rope around the bull bar instead of constantly winding it back on to the spool.

C4 also has an option for a quick detach license plate. Since front license plates are legally required in Texas this was a consideration. I will typically remove the license plate when I air down.

The C4 bumper comes with provisions for a light bar. Originally, I didn't think I'd use a light bar much. I purchased an ExtremeLED light bar to fill the gap. I've ended up using this light bar a ton and it's worked great off road. No issues at all.

Overall I highly recommend the C4 bumper. Design, construction and fitment are all on point.

I have the warn winch bumper. I wish mine came with the bar that worked with the TSS sensor, but it wasn’t available then. Since I bought mine, I think they came out with a version where the bar that doesn’t interfere with the sensor.

It mounts up solid, the 10k VR warn winch went on easy. The shackle mounts are nicely in line with the frame rails, so no weird twisting moments if I’m being pulled. Have used it a few times to winch and to be pulled without issue. My favorite thing about it is that the powder coating job seems solid. No sign of rust anywhere since when I installed it back in 21. There are a pair of additional straps
that tie the bumper to the frame rails (besides just the mounting holes for the crash bar), which is good for additional strenth for pulling/winching. However they slightly interfered with the with the sway bar, so I trimmed them a bit.

BodyArmor4x4 Hiline front bumper with a SmittyBilt X20 winch. I chose the parts because I got a good price for them. Plus, BA4x4 recently released high clearance wings for their hiline series allowing you to turn it into a full with bumper.

My winch hasn’t let me down yet, though my bumper is starting to rust in spots. My old neighbor had the same bumper as me and theirs was starting to rust as well, so something to be mindful of if you’re interested.

What basket is that? And what crossbars do you have, factory or other?

    It looks nice and low.

It's the Yakima Megawarrior with the extension. I attached it to the side rails with some steel angle channel. I slid 3/8" toggle bolts into the side rails and bolted them through the angle channel, and then used small U-bolts to attach the basket to the angle channel.

Just like you mentioned, I wanted it as low as possible. And, it feels way more solid than it was when mounted on the cross bars.

    I don't have great pictures, but here's a few.

I have the Victory 4x4 Blitz (aluminum) low profile bumper with smittybilt 10k synthetic winch. I went with aluminum for the lighter weight and corrosion resistance, feeling i dont need steel because i dont plan on bashing it in hardcore offroading.

I think it's great but I caution getting anything aluminum powder coated because aluminum isn't as conductive as steel and powder coating relies on static charge to hold the powder pellets to the metal before being melted in the oven. As a result, powder coat doesn’t stick well to aluminum. Mine started chipping very badly after only a couple months (Victory was amazing and said although they typically don't do it because circumstances of chips can vary, they refunded me the powdercoat charge). I ended up rattle canning bedliner spray over it and recommend maybe you just do that to begin with.

Interested in all of your experiences with suspension once you put on bumper/winch or hidden winch mount/winch. Did any of you have to upgrade suspension due to squat? Anyone running stock (pro or non pro ) suspension?

My Elka's came with a 700 pound coil. No issues handling the extra weight of winch/bumper.

Any other requirements? You want it to look stock?

Are you changing your whole bumper? Seems like a lot of work if you don't really need a winch except that they can be useful but not off road.

You'll probably need to change the front springs for the extra weight. I'm not sure if they make stock height medium or heavy duty springs so not you're looking at a lift. You want a lift?

I feel like I'm missing something as to why you want a winch
