This would be amusing for many of you when I say that I have done 154,000 miles on my 4runner 2WD but have not once greased the zerk fittings, either myself or at a repair shop oil change. I am going early next week to make amends. I want to ask:
    1. How many total zerk fittings are there on the chassis?
    2. How many of these are on single cardon joints (maybe also called spiders), how many on slide yokes, and how many on double cardon joints?
I understand that this information may not be easy but whatever you can do. I could then try to physically locate these.
    Thanks again!

Are your u joints making a noise? If so they’re probably already toast no matter how much you grease it but there should be a nipple at each end
