The backstory is a p0301 code in my 99 3.4L. It was running fine and then when the code would throw..it would get a bit rough and then go away in a few minutes. I dealt with this for a few weeks. The plugs and wires were fairly new, so I did some troubleshooting by swapping coil packs to see if the code followed...it did not. Since the car has 261k on it, I figured I'd replace all the injectors following Timmy the Toolmans very detailed video. All seemed to go well, however upon trying to start it...it won't start. It cranks and basically starts momentarily and then craps out. I'm kind of at a loss! I did scan it again and now there is a p1300 code. Any thoughts/guidance/suggestions would be much appreciated!

I'm sure you know the saying if it ain't broke.

You swapped coil packs but what about the plug? Never assume when troubleshooting and pulling the plug is 098731401803x faster than doing injectors.

P1300 I believe is the igniter circuit for the coils. Make sure you didn't leave anything unplugged first. Its an open/short code so coil could of burnt up as well. And check the plugs.

Reply much appreciated! I certainly understand checking the plugs, however the car still started just fine prior to me replacing the injectors. Gonna do another once over tonight without tearing it apart to see if I left something unplugged. In terms of the coil burning up...why would changing the injectors do that?

Well, I'm an idiot. I had one of the coil packs unplugged and I missed it. All good now. Thanks

Where did you get the injectors?

I too would trust their injectors.

But yeah, that code is a spark related code. Go very carefully over the wiring.
