I bought some used wiper arms and the passenger side looks too long. The wiper doesn’t contact the windshield on the end.

My passenger side measures 18 5/8” and the driver side measures 18”. I have about 3/4” between the edge of the windshield and my wiper blade on the passenger side. Anyone know the correct size? 17” blades.

Nope, it is not too long it’s supposed to go all the way to the black Border inner liner. I just checked mine, the same thing.

Does yours lift off the windshield near the edge like mine? I used 17” wipers. Even the wiper that came from the junkyard was lifted though.

Last week I ordered PIAA Super Silicon 17” wipers from Amazon for my 1990. Boy they are nice, they form to the windshield perfectly and man are they quite ! Supposedly they last about twice as long as regular ones, a little pricey at $22 bucks each. Way better than the Bosch units they replaced.

I tested them going through the car wash, that’s my only gauge for performance as of now but I think these will be the only thing I’ll buy from here on out. I apologize, I tried to post a link but I’m not literate enough.

When I got this 4runner the wipers were toast. I bought Bosch replacements for it and was never happy with them. They never gave a full wipe, the passenger side never settled in and just got worse as time went on.

I came across a YouTube video, the fella with the glasses that’s been a mechanic forever, think his name is tommy. Anyway his vid on wipers is what convinced me try these Silicon deals. I followed the instructions using the window wipes and all, even dry I could instantly tell the difference.
