Threw a Total Chaos Kit on the wife’s 5th gen, she digs it! Now we just gotta try and squeeze 35’s on!

Looks great, is that the +2 kit?

35s take some effort but it’s worth it to me.

    Enjoy!

Sorry in advance if this is a dumb question.

I'm looking to go similar route so have some questions. I don't see compression adjusters so thinking how the sway is controlled?
I use mine for long trips so thinking if I could keep the sway bar even a thinner one for emergency situation on pavement yet still have 11+in travel (even better 13in travel) or find a one with disconnectable end links that does not require greasing. Next thought was to get dual adjuster suspension and rely on low compression.

Trying to get info before I bring these to the table at the 4x4shop so I have little knowledge to ask questions from them when selecting a kit.

    Edit -
Adding a pic why I'm asking this question -

Looks awesome, been debating doing the same kit. What are you thoughts on daily drivability TC kit vs traditional 2 or 3 inch lifts?

This is pretty bad ass! You got me to scrounge around on their website… but then I saw the price of the basic kit!!!! Dream dead haha.

That’s some serious commitment! However, once you see the pics on their website of 4runners doing sweet jumps, well, that makes it cool again lol.

So from my scrounging around on their site, it seems like they (separately) sell longer sway bars with a lighter spring rate than stock.

When I saw @Vhinojosa4735 picture above, the first thing I wondered about was the CV axles…. Then I saw that TC sells extended axle shafts to rebuild your CV axle using the factory inner/outer CV ends.

What confused me though, is that TC says that the extended axles are needed “to retain 4wd”. That implies they are optional if you are willing to give up 4wd. How does that work then? Do you just delete your front axles and plug the axle openings on the front differential? Or is it that the stock axles fit lengthwise, but and you just have to remember not to use 4wd so you dont break your cv joints?

@Vhinojosa4735 , did you go with extended axles?

And then I saw you can do a twin shock set up? Holy cow! All this would put you at over $6000 bucks just for the front end! I guess though in different parts of the country it’s probably more beneficial to have something that helps you soak up bumps at speed. Not like where Im at, where the most technical stuff is slow crawling through woods or rocks.

if this is the +2 kit, TC makes a sway-bar that is compatible with the spindle (even if gusseted). I have it on my LE and I think it’s working well

BTW, Accutune knows their stuff, I’m pretty sure they’re going to do it right.
    Cheers!

Wow, 11.5in front travel with TC swaybar? You are definitely not helping my wallet with mod ideas. :p:p That's very good news for me to findout more on that route. Thank you..:hattip:

Hey guys, so I have the TC sway bar I’m gonna throw on as well just kind of ran out of time and accidentally left the damn thing at my house when installing. It’ll get put on eventually. Truck rides great. The sway isn’t bad at all, truck has 650lb springs so that has some play as to why the truck handles the way It does. Yes the axles I have are +2” longer, if you don’t want to run axles then yes you can just put the outer ends in the hubs and diff, but I like having 4wd.
