If it's already a TRD OR Premium, why are they charging additional for a OR Premium Pkg? What's in the OR Upgrade Pkg?

Agree that seems bogus. They will slap the pro wheels and nitto tires and black emblem for that. Not worth it.

Off-Road Premium Package is the addition of the MTM (Multi-Terrain Monitor) system.

That's the package with the MTM 360 camera view which is an additional option.

Aah I dont have that with my ORP :)
Makes sense, although I have no clue why its that costly. But oh well, out of those two I will pick option 1. No sunroof - more second row headroom. And even shorter person (5'10") like me feels it.

The 360 camera is fantastic for getting through tight spots, especially my ancient, very narrow garage.

I absolutely love no moonroof for more headroom, no leaks, no breaking due to hail storms or rock chips. But in 2018 when I was looking for my TRD ORP the no moonroof ones didn't have heated seats.

I would have preferred no moonroof for those reasons, but my wife loves it, which helped in the negotiation.

But it also results in getting camera resolution that looks like it was shot with a potato...(MTM comes with the Premium Package...so what's the OffRoad Package? wheels and tires?)

WTF is the LED bulb upgrade? Interior? DRL?

To answer the OP, I'd go with #2 but without Premium or Upgrade packages and save $4k (which is what I did)

The LED might be the LED fog light option.

One-at-this-price stripper. Bought new 34 yrs ago, a $13K leftover. Added Detroit TruTrac, 1”rear spring spacer and “pinstripes”… Factory AC kit and roof rack bought at dealer cost at time of purchase, still blows ice cold 32yrs later. 2022 AG ORP all stock.
Difficult to find a loaded ORP without a moonroof.

I hunted for quite a while for the exact SR5P I wanted - color, blackout package, moonroof, etc.

In the three years I've owned it I think I've fully opened it twice lol. The only time I use it is when I go jet skiing and it's going to be at the dock all day. Then I just tilt up the back to let heat out. I would not be unhappy without a moonroof at this point.

No sunroof version. But both of those are 10k more than what I paid for my trdorp in 2020. If I were looking at dropping 52k for a new 4runner I'd wait the week and see what the new GX has going for it.

    I've decided on option

    #2

    2023 4Runner TRD Off road Premium $46,580
    Moonroof $630
    Off Road Premium Package $850
    Off-Road Upgrade Package $3,499
    Keep it Wild Savings -$750
    Delivery $1,495
    Total $52,304

Better options for down the resale road.

The options in option #1 can be added later for cheaper. The only real option I liked was the LED Bulb upgrade which are the 12 LED's for the inside lights and I can get those from Amazon for about a 5th of the price.

I really want the Off-Road Upgrade Package (MTM) and Moon roof. As soon as I get her I will post pictures.

The Off-Road Premium package ($850) is what includes the MTM. I still don't understand what's in the Off-Road Upgrade Package. Did I miss that? I don't see it on the Toyota build page.

True. Wish the monroney sticker is shared to understand why the customer have to pay twice 850 + 3499.

Neither option, find a different dealer. Off-road upgrade package is overpriced pro wheels and tires.

In Canada the Off Road trim only comes one way, premium, multi-terrain, sh*tty 360° camera, sunroof, KDSS. I slide the shade of the sunroof open when driving beside cops for my tint so I don’t get hassled, open the sunroof all the time when not mid day (burn my bald head). I find the rear window roll down a gimmick as it pulls in too much exhaust fumes when driving, especially at speed … not good for us or the dog.
    • For offroading, the camera system resolution is so poor it’s useless, ok for parking.
    • That wheel package is pricey, save your money and buy the wheels on their own and get a bigger set of Toyo A/T3s. That’s what I did for cheaper in Cdn dollars (Toyota had a TRD rim sale in March).
    • Black emblem badging can be done yourself, don’t pay for their install price.
    • Get aftermarket mats and cargo liner stuff.

The more important question is "which one would you rather have?"

Do you want a moonroof? Or, no moonroof? That's really the only difference that you can't change later. Unless I'm missing something.

Personally, I'd go for the moonroof. My last 4Runner had one, but I decided I didn't need one when I bought this one. I don't miss it all the time, but sometimes it would be nice.

And, in spite of what some people think about moon roofs, I have owned several Toyotas with them and none have ever leaked, or shattered. Though, to be fair, the one on my Supra didn't have a glass top.

I would have had no issues if head room wasn't an issue. I sat in a 4runner with one, and definitely felt the head was close to touching the ceiling.
If you sit in one and don't think headspace is an issue by all means go for it.

I always go without a sun roof if possible.

Bound to leak sooner or later if you keep it long enough. And we never use it.

As a moonroof owner, I'd ditch it. The cameras are garbage though. Which one has KDSS and/or the sliding tray?
