Wheel offset

Hey everyone, I’m new here. I jst bought a 2020 4Runner trd off-road. I’m trying to see if anyone has any insight on running a -25 offset wheel setup. And if so what kind of modifications were needed to be done like a bmc or a full body mount relocation. I bought the relation RR6 wheels in a -25 offset and worried bout the amount of chopping I’ll have to do. Thanks for any insight!

 

Probably BMC, fender liner mod, and front mudflap modification or removal.

 

Thanks for the reply! Probably should have added the tire size. There the bf Goodrich ko2 in a 285 70 17. Im happy to do most mods but really don’t wanna have ti chop off my original body mounts and buy a body mount relocation kit and have it welded on.

 

You don’t need a body mount relocation for 285’s. I have 295’s with a small BMC on -38mm wheels. Plenty of people running up to 35’s with just a BMC and other mods. A body mount relocation comes into play with +35’s if you’re wheeling.

Yep, I have -38mm.

 

You shouldn’t need the bmc. -25mm is an inch. Plenty of folks with 1.25” spacers and 285/70s and no chop. That is if you are going with a normal width wheel…7.5-9”. Not sure what happens when you start getting into the mall donk range. lol You definitely need the chop for 285/75s
