Just finished installing DD SS3 Pro fog lights on my '22 ORP. Took the passenger side shroud off and did a half a$$ job trying to get it back in. Said f- it as it doesn't seem to provide a significant function. If it did then why isn't there one on the driver's side as well??? Seems I heard that someone else ditched it as well.

Probably to keep the lights from blinding oncoming traffic.

The shroud was up inside and behind the wheel well covering on the passenger side fog light. No shroud on the driver's side.

I know I read something on that back when I put in the DD SS3 fog lights last year, but for the life of me I can't remember what was said. Mine wasn't too difficult to get back in, so I left it in place...some, as you said, ditched it, and most likely never had any issues with it.

Some claim that the cover over the right side fog light is to protect from spillage if you overfill the washer reservoir. I have no factual data on this tho'.

There are vents cut out on the pass side inner Fender well, I think it might be to cover the fog from posable splashing through the wheel well from tire.

@SYTY got it. It’s a splash shield. And it’s a pain to reinstall. I kind of mangled the tabs removing it so I got it back together the best I could and dabbed some glue around the tab area to hold it in place.

Duh. So that's what they meant when they said "use a flat blade screwdriver on each side to release the shroud fasteners".
    Lesson learned.
    Sheesh.
