    Looks like lane departure warning to me. Didn't know any 4runners had that

    Correct, I believe that is just indicating that the lane departure warning is turned on.
    You will hear a little beep if you go out of your lane.
    If you press the button with the same symbol on your steering wheel, it will turn the function and the light off.

    Lane departure warning is so you can scroll through your Instagram while driving home from the bar after last call. It helps keep us all safe.

    I prefer the tried and true "keep the lines between the thumbs" method. Analog is always better
