I have a 2017 TRD Pro with 115k miles on it. When it's loaded down with gear and a RTT, the rear seems to have a lot of squat. My 4R sees a lot of washboard roads, and various trails in Colorado/Utah. I am planning on getting an off-road trailer that will be about 2,000lbs, so I'd also like to add airbags. Will not be changing tire size from 265s.

I'm not very interested in a lift, although I have considered a 2" Dobinsons setup. I don't really want to get into aftermarket UCAs. The Pro Bilsteins are discontinued, the Pro Foxs are crazy at $2500+. Does that just leave Bilstein 5100s?

Sounds like you fully utilized the capabilities of the Pro suspension.
What are your thoughts regarding the performance of the Pro suspension?

    Thanks

If you liked the Bilsteins, you could go with a 6112/5160 setup. As @PVT Pablo mentioned, the older PRO setup was pretty similar.

Have you looked at ELKA 2.5 dual adjusters? They have 0-2in option if you want to go no lift. They are so much better on washboard driving. If you give the weight slip a good Toyota 4x4 shop I'm sure they will suggest you correct springs. When I got 2-3 ELKAs they told me to dial up the adjusters if I want to tow occasionally, no need to mess with springs.

Kings would be a major upgrade.

I will definitely look into the 6112s and the Elkas. Kings are going to be out of my budget, I'd like to be under $1,500.

Not saying I'm hardcore wheeling this thing, but it has seen its fair share of trails/rough roads. I would love the look of a lift, but don't want to get into aftermarket UCAs and stressing CVs. I have full CBI skids underneath which sort of make up for the lower height by protecting when it scrapes. I feel like the suspension was adequate, I've run just about any trail you can name around Ouray and the suspension isn't the limiting factor so much as the bulky plastic bumpers. If you have a Pro and don't have the desire to lift, the suspension is great. If you have a different trim, I probably wouldn't waste my time/money with Pro suspension unless it was pretty cheap.

Thank you very much for the overview on your setup and the Pro suspension. :)

Shocks are not going to solve your load varying problems alone. You need to address spring rates.

Why not try a set of heavier coils in the rear first? I run trd pro suspension with wheeler t13 coils in the rear. I’m not running a RTT but I do run a loaded drawer at all times. Nets about a .75-1” lift in the rear but 15% heavier spring rate. Fully loaded for camping I’m level. Depending on the tongue weight of that trailer it may work out.

ELKA 2.5DC are more expensive than King 2.5s :D
