I’m experiencing intermittent squeaking and I can not figure out the source. It occurs more often and is much louder at slow speeds. I have oiled and greased anything I can see that might possibly squeak. ‘has anyone experienced this and have a solution.

    What is squeaking?

Sorry to answer with the same question you’re asking, but there’s not much info to go on. Any guesses? Under what conditions? What model? How old? What are the things you can see that you have oiled? Oiled with what? Etc etc

2018 TRD pro. I oiled the hood hinges with wd40 once, lithium grease once and silicone spray once. It stops the squeaking noise for a few miles and then it comes back. I thought maybe the rubber spacer on exhaust mounts was the problem and greased them with silicone and lithium but it made no change. Rocking it side to side by hand while in the garage will cause it to squeak some but I can’t find the source. I thought it might be loose bolts on running boards or front bumper but have not found anything questionable. I can go down the same road and across the same bumps and one time it may squeak constantly but I can turn around and go down the same road again and it won’t make any squeaking noise. I thought it might be one of the seats not latching good but it sounds like it is outside. It happens more often at speeds below 30 and is unnoticeable when going faster.

Just throwing this out there as it is easy to check/adjust. The rubber hood height adjusters on the left and right corners of the radiator support, You can turn clockwise or counterclockwise to raise/lower depending on how much "play" you have on each side when checking gap with hood closed.
Just one additional item to lay eyes on.

Thanks for that advice. I didn’t know i could adjust those but i will try that. I looked at trying to adjust the latch. I think that is on the right track.

I had a nasty low speed squeak that turned out to be the tailgate latch. A little duct tape fixed it.

@1776nks I bet this is the winner winner! The squeak is the hood latch. Put a little axle grease or anything in the latch, and if it goes away, then turn up those hood height adjusters to help kee the hood from moving as much and making the latch squeak.

Be careful to not turn them up too high, it might cause your weather striping to not seal up tight. If you live where they salt, it will let that salty road spray directly over the top of everything.

Also worth checking those flappy rubber snap on mud guards in the front wheel wells. Mine squeaked when I got the truck. Now that it’s all worn in, no more squeaks. Once I discovered what it was, I didn’t worry about it anymore because it was harmless. It eventually stopped.
