Hello my like-minded 4Runner online bro’s and sis’s. I’ve done power lifting, triathlon, CrossFit, and now kinda like a hybrid routine with running and circuit style strength work with kettlebells mainly…loads of body weight stuff. 5-6 days a week.

What’s your exercise look like? Cheers to health and happiness….and 4R’s!

I hike 3 times a week. 2 are 5 mile treks we complete in 1.5 hours (I can't jog due to a torn ACL) and a random Saturday hike. I don't but need to hit the gym as well.

I've been bodybuilding for about 18 years, but have done just about everything when it comes to fitness/exercise. Training only 3-4 days a week these days and keeping up with my cardio in between

Used to walk my GSD daily. He was such a beautiful dog people would stop driving by to comment. Very protective. Get too close and he'd snap. 110lbs at his top weight.
We'd follow a morning walk with an afternoon ride in my Tacoma truck to another spot he'd like to wander off leash.

I play hockey, 3 days a week year 'round since I retired. Started playing twice a week in the mid 90's. Most of us have been playing together for 25 yrs. It's a lot of the same guys week after week, year after year. Most of us are retired now.

I walk 8-15 miles a day between walking my dog and street photography. I do the occasional day-hike. Prior to a significant motorcycle accident in ‘19, I use to be a tennis pro and would run clinics and private lessons from all age groups and skill sets.

Is a kick to the crotch a legal move in Judo. I took a year of Judo in College. I don't remember that move!

I don't get the exercise I need, kind of sit in my office and look out the window, I've driven truck for 42 years, and actually get out of the truck occasionally and stretch, walk around the job sites, etc. Sometimes go west on hunting trips with backpacks hiking, but not enough frequency to call it a "routine".

I don't do any of this as often as I should, especially now that I'm over 40, but I run, mountain bike, and road cycle. About 10 years ago. I was pretty big into weightlifting and yoga, I miss those days. I'm one of those people that will never get "jacked", but I enjoyed the routine and the focus. I really should get back into that, but mentally I haven't gotten the motivation yet. I don't really enjoy lifting weights, though I always enjoyed the satisfaction of a good workout. I think I really just need to find a gym buddy.

Mountain biking is probably my favorite thing to do, I actually really enjoy it, both the exercise, the fun of going downhill, and also the mental exercise of choosing lines. I don't get to off-road my 4Runner very much, so I kind of get the same thrill while mountain biking.

I don't actually enjoy running very much, though. It's more fun in a group, and whenever I go I always do it with my dog. It's much more fun with him.

I don't road cycle nearly as much as I used to, too many people have gotten creamed on the roads lately, and I've had too many close calls myself. I really enjoyed the activity though, it's great to get out into middle of nowhere and enjoy the scenery and you can really get some miles under your belt. We used to routinely do 50, 60 mi on a Saturday morning.

Now I'm kind of sad thinking about this, between the 100 miles a week. I used to cycle and the 3 or 4 days in the gym, I used to be in really good shape LOL.

I retired from doing Ironmans (2.4 mile swim, then a 112 mile bike, then run a full 26.2 mile marathon) when I had kids. Training was too involved.

Nowadays I hike and swim, and I’ve always mountain biked.

Lifting whatever for anaerobic activity (seriously anything useful barbells, dumbbells, bags, rocks). As for cardio: moving at the pace to get HR in 130’s-no matter what the activity. You’d be impressed how much one can get done if gym trip is unnecessary. Self defense training: double tap to center mass and one to the head. If that isn’t an option or justifiable anything is a tool. Imagination is one’s only limitation with anything in daily life.
