That’s not the maintenance soon light. That’s the turn off now before you do serious engine damage light?

Toyota's been throwing gas cap check engine lights for a long time. Wife had a 2001 Camry that did it like every couple months. 310,000 miles later she was still running when we sold it :)

Well they wanted to charge me , and I lost it on them I personally believe this is b.s. when the dealers charge you for something like that ,especially when you purchase 3 vehicles from them geez

Get a scangauge or an OBDII reader, they will let you see the codes, and most will let you reset them yourself to see if they come back.

A warranty covers manufacturers defects, which this was not. That’s saying curbing a car should be covered by warranty... no not shouldn’t, the vehicle didn’t brake, you did it.

The dealer does not get paid by the manufacturer for a customer not putting their gas cap on.

its called good P.R for regular customer(s) that pump a lot of money at a particular dealership..... also the gas cap three turns = three clicks its pure and simple ...will see what happens later on down the road cheers to all

Of course it’s good P.R. to not charge customers, so again, do you show up to your job to work for free? I sure as hell don’t.
