Vinyl wrap

Since I can’t find any grilles that are compatible that I like for my 2020 Venture.. I was thinking about doing flat black vinyl wrap on the white part below the Toyota emblem.. below is what my white one looks like and the other picture is what I’m going for.. good idea or other options? Thanks for any help

 

Are you going to do it or have it done? Wrap is nice because if you don't like it or get bored with it you can remove it. I think several on here have used wrap on their rigs with fairly good results.

 

Planned on doing it myself.. never done it but going to give it a shot ‍♂️ Only because I don’t know another way to black out my front end

 

I did that on my last 4Runner and it looked great.

 

Use plastidip. If you don't like the outcome, you can easily remove it.

 

I have considered Plastidip on emblems, and there are lots of YouTube videos on it. Apparently easy to do, inexpensive and if it doesn't turn out as you want or you change your mind, just peel it off. Most installers recommend at least 5 coats. There are a lot of videos on doing the front valances, it's a good look. Mike is all black so nothing to do but the shiny emblems.

 

Plastidip seems to be the best way to go; I also looked into it but still haven't pulled the trigger. If you're going to install an aftermarket slimline or full bumper in the near future, I'd just wait, save the $$ and time. The bumper will take care of that lower valence at least.

 

I did this on the valance on the back and front as well as the bar.... looks great, holding up amazingly.

 

So I used PlastiDip on my emblems and front/back bumpers. Spent roughly $17 total and did 5-6 coats using just over 2.5 cans (may not have been the thickest coats applied) but it has been over 2 months now, 3-4 washes and countless rough storms and the plastidip is holding great. I might even use the remaining can or 2 and put a coat on the roof scoop to stop the awkward glare from the sun.
