i just checked my valve clearance on my 1996 4runner with the 3rz. i was wondering if y'all thought i should adjust one? on the 3rd cylinder on the exhaust valve is at 14.5. im also burning a little oil and im running a little rich in all cylinders.

    1st cylinder (compression 138)

    exhaust
    1: 12.5
    2: 12.5

    intake
    1: 6
    2: 8

    2nd cylinder (compression 130)

    exhaust
    1: 12
    2: 12.5

    intake
    1: 7
    2: 6.5

    3rd cylinder (compression 130)

    exhaust
    1: 12.5
    2: 14.5

    intake
    1: 8
    2: 7

    4th cylinder (compression 140)

    exhaust
    1: 13
    2: 13

    intake
    1: 8.5
    2: 7

Assuming that is in thousandths of an inch, your valves are exactly where they need to be (.006-.010" intake and .010-.014" exhaust) .

How many miles are on the engine and was compression test done warm or cold? If that's the cold compression I wouldn't worry a bit, the missing oil is from a leak.

If that was done on a warm engine that is on the lower side, but still well above the minimum compression. You can put a little oil (not enough to hydrolock) in the cylinder and try the compression test again, if the compression increases the rings are worn. The consistent compression on the cylinders would indicate that it would be from normal wear. That variation is totally fine.

You should clean the maf, replace the air filter, and check for vacuum leaks if it is running rich. Also check the exhaust for leaks, especially at the manifold, that can cause it to run rich too.

okay well that’s good to know thank you. and the compression test was done cold. i haven’t found a leak at the engine yet but i’ll take a closer look.ill try all that and come back and lyk how it goes ill attach a picture of my exhaust tip to this later.
