Hello everyone. My name is eric and I've recently been on the look out for a 4runner but am not sure where to start. I'm in California. Primary use for the 4runner will be for hunting and light off roading. So I'm not planning to mod to heavy. I would like recommendations into what year models to buy, mileage conditions and so on.
Any and all info will help, thanks guys

Hi Eric, welcome the site! I guess it would depend on your budget. It almost doesn't matter though any generation of 4Runner should be more than capable of handling what your are describing.

Thank you brocaho. Well my budget is about 10,000. But am always weary of high mile cars. I know stand the test of time and then some. But i always like to know the opinion of others, and their experiences

If you can find a reasonable 3rd Gen 4Runner with lowish miles (sub 150k) that would be a good start. Those body styles are good, aren't too bulky and make nice fun vehicles. Plus no worries about scratches and dings.
