I did searchabd didn’t find much.

What UCA’s would you all recommend? I don’t always buy into the most expensive is the best. Dobisons is sold out so can’t be them. What else would ya recommend?

I hear "Total Chaos" make a good UCA... I have "Icon uniball" and they've been great.

Total Chaos, Camburg are the two I keep hearing about as the go to UCA’s. SPC is also a brand people use but if seen some instances where they’ve failed and quite a few of the hard core types refuse to use them.

@Backslider theres been quite a few threads on other forums about the SPC’s failing (like welds cracking and the UCA coming apart). Definitely lots of ball joint issues. Not too sure about the newer ones though.

I was checking wheelersoffroad and saw the SPC’s for $569 and the Camburgs are $664 and Total chaos are $705.

The JBA seem like a good deal. I may go with those.

Wish I could find a deal like that. These expenses for her ride are adding up fast!

JBA is the way to go. They are very stout and they come with a cerakoted high articulation ball joint with a grease fitting. They low maintenance, no noise, high quality, BOLT IN, and in a pinch the joint can be replaced with an off the shelf parts store ball joint. **If** something happens to go wrong it’s nice to not need a press and a specialty part to get it going again. Customer service is fantastic too. You will never see a vendor recommend them though because they don’t sell to middlemen that drop ship. You can only buy them directly from JBA, they don’t do authorized retailers, they don’t do sales or group buys, it’s very straight forward - a great product at a fair price.

Been running SPCs for over 20K now. Adjustability is wonderful that results in killer alignment and no need for BMC.
Also ZERO noise..ghost quiet. Few shot of grease once a year and it's good to go.

I was running ICON tubular UCA prior and they were very noisy and I had rubbing on passenger at full lock in reverse.

Any recs for those of us that stay on road? I have to say I was quite surprised at the markup of Tacoma vs 4runner UCAs. Lots of options, but 4runner double in nearly every manufacturer. Just did my UCAs on my Tacoma earlier this year.

Was looking at several on RockAuto. Im also considering rebuilding them, anyone rebuild theirs? Any recommendations?

I run camburg. Just make sure no matter what direction you go to keep them clean and well lubed.

Delta joints are pretty nice in general, but they are way overpriced in my opinion. To expensive for what you get.

No problems with mine so far. Only couple hundred miles if that.

I'd be lucky to get couple thousand on them by the end of the year at the rate I drive the 4R.

My alignment shop was only able to get 3.8 caster though. So I need the BMC. I've never tried taking it elsewhere yet to see what they can get out of it.

For what it’s worth my alignment at 4.5 degrees with everything else spot on (JBA arms and a little over 2” lift)

Good post @Allaboutfamily , I am in the market currently and really struggling with this same choice. I think I have narrowed it down between Camburg, JBA or SPC. I am looking at doing the 3" (3ish) OME lift and going to get the Aftermarket UCA's to ensure one trip to the alignment shop. So far, it is looking like SPC has the most adjust-ability but I am not thrilled at the prospect of proprietary ball joints. Same issue with JBA, proprietary ball joints. I like the idea of a factory ball joint like the Camburg but I am concerned about them giving me enough adjustability. They were less than sociable when I called as well which is mildly disconcerting. Also there is good and bad with roadside repairs on a press in ball joint (Unfortunately from experience). The Choice and internal turmoil continues...... :annoyed:

Moog K6292 is an off the shelf readily available ball joint that is a direct fit into JBA arms. Technically JBA’s balljoint is proprietary but if you happen to break it out on a trail nobody has a setup easier to change. It’s bolt in, no press required, and the Moog ball joint you can get anywhere.

@Agent_Outside , Thanks for the info, I had heard there was an off the shelf option (for emergency) but I had not found the part number.
