    hi all,
i have a 1996 limited, 6 cylinder, 5 speed stick, SR5, 4wd, all electric, leather seats with only 277K miles and in beautiful condition - i get stopped often to see if i'll sell it. before this one i had a 1985 runner, but it was only 4 cylinders and after i bought a boat, and towed it a few times, i felt guilty putting that much strain on the dear thing. i'm an old lady (very young at heart), and treat my runner like a baby. my mechanic of over 30 years, who took care of all my previous toyotas, retired and won't give me his home address (wonder why), so i now do not have a mechanic that i trust to care for my runner like i do. so am turning to this forum to hopefully find an owner that's had the problem i'm having now. so i can talk to a new mechanic without them giving me the side-eye cause i'm an old gray haired lady and they will assume i know nothing. will start a thread regarding current issue. any help appreciated.

Welcome from North Carolina. To better help you out we would need to know roughly where you live.

I know a good mechanic in Florida I watch on YouTube. I know a mechanic back in Arizona. I don’t know a mechanic in North Carolina yet. We got people all over this forum that are happy to help you.
