Can anyone tell me if the 2018 5th gen has a turn signal relay that can be changed to address hyper flash caused by LED turn bulbs?

I have looked behind the lower driverside dash and under the hood and have not been able to locate. Yes, I cheaped out and bought the led's without the built in resistor. Looking for an option other than installing resistors at each bulb.

    Thanks

Even with the built in resistors, mine start to hyperflash in the summer. Interested to see if there is a relay to swap

I've read that LED's are prone to hyperflash when over heating, even with resistors. Not sure if a relay will fix. If the 2018 has the relay function built into the ECU (I've heard the 2023's do), does anyone know if the ECU can be reprogramed to prevent LED hyperflash?

I love/hate that 4Runner's are slow on new tech adoption.

I have yet to see a different turn signal relay designed to address this issue.

    Good luck.

Are you referring to 5th gen 4Runners specifically? LED compatible relay's are available to address hyperflash on earlier model 4Runners and other vehicles.

I think it's BCM controlled. I purchased LEDs with built in resistors to avoid this issue.

I do not believe the 5th gens have relays. I think ECU controlled and thus nothing you can do.
