I don't have experience of any sort in working on cars so please bare with me...I mistakenly purchased stock tires/and wheels off of a 2024 Tundra without doing any extensive research past "will it work". I found that it will, but it won't be easy.
    • I had to purchase 2" spacers because the previous tires I had on the 4Runner were much thicker than the tundra's and the tundra tires sat to far inside the frame of the car.
I have found that the spacer is secured just fine but the issue is with the fit of the lug nuts that hold the tundra wheels to the spacers. 4Runner have a 12m thread and the bolts that are used on the Tundra are 14m thread.
    • When I attempt to tighten down the lugs that came with the spacer, the lug tightens all the way down into the whole of the rim instead of tightening to a point where it is holding the rim to the spacer.
    • I found some lugs at AutoZone that have a thick washer and will definitely securely tighten the rim to the spacer but, there the hole in the rim is not completely filled by the 12m lugs even though they are tightened.
So my question is: What is the best solution to securing wheels that usually take 14m bolts to a spacer with 12m threads?

A spacer that adapts from 12m hub threads to 14m bolts coming out of the spacer?

Please help - Any information is appreciated

Based on your situation, this would seem to be the best solution. Need spacers with 12mm holes that will fit on the 4Runner hubs, and with 14mm lugs what will fit the Tundra wheels. You might want to visit a tire shop and see if they have a solution. Would seem to me that finding thicker 12mm lug nuts to fit a 14mm hole is not all that uncommon. Another option would be to find some "inserts" into the 14mm holes that would fit tightly around a 12mm lug nut, but that lug nut would need a washer and have a body long enough to put some pressure on the wheel. 'Course another option would be to chalk it up to experience, and not use the Tundra wheels. Sounds like you've got yourself into a pickle, but I'm sure you'll figure something out.

Keep us posted. I am tempted to run the new 20" Tundra TRD Pro wheels on my T4R.
