Looking to get some opinions on the trd pro shocks vs going fox 2.0 with dobinsons springs. I am looking to level out the 4runner so the 1" the pro suspension seems to lift is about right. If I go the 2.0 route I can get dobinsons 1" front springs and a stock height rear spring. Anyone have experience riding in either a trd pro or a 4runner with dobinsons springs? thanks!

I swapped my OR suspension out for the Fox 2.5 TRD Pro suspension the first week I got my 4runner, so I can't speak for the Fox 2.0's. I did get right about an inch of lift up front, nothing in the rear, so it is right about level stance. I didn't want to screw with the warranty is why I just went with the factory setup in case I ever needed to have warranty work done, but looking into lifting a little more maybe down the road.

As for the ride quality of the Pro suspension, just driving on the highway it's just about the same to me as the stock suspension until I hit some potholes, the pro suspension soaks up the potholes a lot better imo. Haven't had time to take it off road yet to really try it out. Was the pro suspension worth the $2200 +tax (mcgeorge toyota) I paid for it, more than likely not, I know there are cheaper/better options for a suspension, but like i said I don't want to hassle with the dealer in case any warranty issues arises from a suspension. The ride quality so far has been great. Hope this helps you out some.

definitely helps! Do you feel that body roll and nose dive is less with the new suspension?

Yes it's definitely less nose dive, body roll haven't really noticed to be honest. Overall I'm happy with it.
