Now they can just continue the ridiculous price jumps. I've seen MSRP on a new SR5P is what I paid for a TRD Pro in 2020. Nope. I won't be playing that game.

Those prices were going to jump no matter what. They are still beating their production record at 9.2 million cars for the year and still can't keep the lots stocked. Not to shabby.

Yeah which why would they go to a sixth gen right? Tooling was paid for years ago and it’s a cash cow for Toyota. Keep milking it and making the 5th Gen only thing I would change is treat the frame before. But why would they do that even

I was recently on a flight and struck up a conversation with a Toyota rep for a southwestern state. He said that he doesn't expect supply issues to resolved, and the old days of buying readily available 4Rs to return for 3 years:(

That 44K figure above was the MSRP for my 2021 TRD/ORP/MR, which I ended up paying 42,800K with a discount - at the 11th hour, just before the crazy pricing started. I consider myself lucky.

Think about it this way before you get butt hurt. Jan/Feb are the worst car buying months. March not better, April finally picks up through mid summer. Back down again until mid-fall through pre-Christmas.

Why send vehicles over that are just going to sit until April? Yes, supply chain woes are here to stay, for the foreseeable future. Add on the strife in China and them flexing military power... ya, its not going to be good combined with feds raising rates by probably .75% again and a tanking economy. Even if you could buy new now, why would you?

    No complaints from me.

Looks like the value of my 4Runner will continue to remain strong.

Criminy! I got my ORP below MSRP at 39 something. I guess I didn't have to pay the added "bonus" of TSS, which might bring the price up quite a bit for all that stuff. Other than that, the trucks are the same! I'm so thankful I bought when I did, and feel sorry for some of you having to pay what you have, plus the added insult of higher interest if you financed.

    It's a long list...
I can't wait until the shoe is on the other foot and the dealerships suddenly find people have had enough. Anytime a dealership is dictating terms to you as the customer for a supposed mutual transaction where you hold the decision to buy or not is the time when you no longer do business with that dealer.

I've been dipping my foot in the water to see if it is smart to maybe trade in my 16 SR5 4WD before the 5th gen is retired, but damn I paid 33K for mine, and in the BS market today, it's a steal lol.

I mean in 2020 I got my army green TRD Pro for $48k just saying too and now I am getting a 2023 TRD Pro for MSRP at $55.9k with the extra factory accessories, no dealer markup.

Did you get it through a car dealership or an independent dealer (one who works with multiple dealerships and such)?

Got it thru a Toyota dealer, but had to do a 700 mile round trip to get it. They were the only one that had a solar octane that wasn’t spoken for and or would take a deposit. Most other dealers weren’t taking deposits on solar octane pro’s, they said it was first come first serve. I was lucky to find it even having to do the long drive, I’d do it again in a heartbeat.
