    I was reading in another thread about privacy rumors in regards to the Toyota Safety Sense System. I cracked open the manual and read a few things that created a large amount of questions...

    I am contacting my Toyota Dealership to see if they can clarify for me. I'm happy to update this thread as I get answers, hopefully we can get a lot more clarity. I have attached screenshots of the manual information in question.

    that’s kinda shady... I’m guessing there is some sort of camera in the infotainment system?

    The second sentence after...
    "The computers do not record conversations or sounds, and only record images outside the vehicle in certain situations."

    So... back-up camera and the TSS forward-facing camera near the rearview mirror. That seems pretty reasonable to me.
