Unless the frame is bent, no it's not totaled. I'm guessing it needs two doors and a rocker panel skin. $8-10K maybe? I feel most body shops collude with insurance companies, and the old idea that any damage over 75-80% of the value of the car equals a total doesn't really apply anymore.

I used to be an auto adjuster in another life. Most insurance companies will total a vehicle at around 60%. The extent of damage is not usually fully revealed until the vehicle is taken apart. If an adjuster gets near or hits 60% of its value prior to taking it apart it’s gone. Frame damage is not necessarily a game changer. Frames can be repaired to exact factory measurements and specifications. Everything will depend on the vehicle’s current value.

    Oooh look, another mod.....
Don't worry if it's totaled or not. It's just a pile of metal and glass. Are you okay and are all the parties involved okay?

I had an eight point buck run into me right there. My lower armor protected most of the door.

when I got T-Boned at the intersection my truck was totaled mostly because side airbag went off. So I think if your airbag wasn't deployed chances are your truck is not totaled. But it's of course is up to your insurance company.

I hope and pray you are ok. Don't give a shit about cars. Push the body shop and the adjuster to total it. Get your check and go buy another one. Plenty of 4Runners on dealer lots. As long as you are not totaled everything is fine lol

Why do people who know nothing about insurance or collision damage always respond to these threads with advice?
Every state is different with insurance regulations.
If you cannot pay to fix the car yourself then call the insurance company instead of asking internet experts.
No one will pay for the value of the truck when it needs 2 doors, hinges and maybe center pillar damage.
A total loss is not in the best interest of a body shop. They make money by fixing cars, not total losses.
