Well guys, it was a good run. I had to trade in my 2022 off road premium as our family gets bigger and bigger.

I’m going to miss it more than anything because of the story behind it. This was the first car I bought in (almost) all cash. It was also the first brand new car I drove off the lot. I was super proud to have been able to do this at 23 years old.

If you buy it, I’d love to keep up with it over the years and hope it went to a good home.

She was a trooper. Got me to hell and back, moved us across the country, went far and wide, and never had a single issue for the 37,000 brutal miles I put her through.

    The VIN is JTERU5JR0N6024630.

I traded it for a 2025 tundra that I love, but it won’t be the same. Build quality isn’t there, it just doesn’t have the feeling the 4Runner did.

I wish I could’ve kept it. But so long for now. Yall hold it down for me!

    Here’s a few memories.

    None yet.
Just cause the 4Runners gone doesn’t mean you gotta be, stay around, plus we have a section for other Toyota vehicles in the forums, lots of folks in there with tundras and GX.

Yeah, I drive an Outback now, but I still enjoy reading all the 4R stuff. I've had two and plan on another someday.

Is your growing family struggling to fit in the 4Runner? I’ve got the 3-row version and can add a roof box if needed. Why did you go with the Tundra? I’d understand if you switched to a Sienna, but a Tundra?

the tundra Crewmax has 41” of legroom and is much wider in the back seat.

im 6’4” with two rear facing car seats. I could barely get in the 4Runner. The tundra is like a limo in the back.

It seems you traded limited back seat space for a considerably more family friendly rear seat area, albeit for a considerably longer and wider vehicle footprint on the outside...but you do what you have to, under the circumstances. Nice Tundra. Too big for my taste, but my kids are grown and gone...

I remember back in the 80s the bed of the truck was just a seat for " how many kids can we pack in there too the football game ". Lol

I think laws are different now though.

You are right. 5th gen's build quality resembles Lexus from the 90's. Did you need a bed? Did you consider the Sequoia?

Folks like OP should give a hint to Toyota that they need to come up with the Sienna TRD Pro

I read somewhere that Tundra's second row has more legroom than a Mercedes S-Class does lol

The things you see in traffic in India are .. shall we say... unusual for the Western world? (4 people on a scooter comes to mind)

Congratulations man on the new ride and more importantly expanding your family. Take it from a guy who let a good one get away years ago to make a buck fast forward 20 years with money and career and no wife and no kids and I’d do it like you’re doing it now if I had the chance. Treasure your wife and kids bud!

I bought my wife a ‘21 GX460 in May so seemed redundant to buy another SUV. We also plan to get dirt bikes in the next couple of years so having the bed won’t hurt.
They’re not too hard to come by but I did look for it. The harder thing to find was the options on it with boulder interior in my region.

Throw a supercharger in there and you might catch my attention. For now, the van life isn’t for me. Closest I could get to that would be a sprinter.

The non hybrids Tundras seems to safe when it comes to engine replacements. But the hybrid owners does not seem to be lucky as they don't get the full engine assembly when the engine fails from what I see. Either way wish you don't get to see the dealer other than maintenance.
I loved the way older 4.7V8 ride and the extra space. Con was frequent gas fill ups (with 26 gal tank) and didn't easily fit in my garage. I bet the 2025 is even better.
