Hi y'all. I have a 2012 4runner (5th gen) SR5. Recently the Tire Pressure warning light has come on and won't go off (not blinking, just staying on). Temperature has dropped so I added air, now definitely over 30 psi, but light still on.

From researching around, it seems (not 100% sure) that
    - there is no TMPS on the spares for the SR5s, so that is not the issue
    - there is no "TMPS" reset button

Other than bringing it to a shop, I was wondering:

    a) is there a way to test the TMPS directly without specialized gear (phone App?)

    b) is there a way to "reboot" or "relearn" the system ?

    c) is it likely batteries - what is the life on batteries on those sensors?

    d) is there a way to just "turn off" the system so I don't have to look at the light? (I found a thread on jumpering it ..... but it was a 4th gen discussion, not sure if it works).

    Thanks for any suggestions .....

I pick (c), no clue on battery like but I would like to know too.

Battery life is an average of 10 years. A TPMS scan tool can show the battery voltage. Being that you have a 2012, it is most likely a battery.
