    Hey all.
    Here's the deal.
I have heard that you are supposed to go by the recommend pressure indicated on the inside of the driver door jamb, and not the one specified on the tire.
    I have an 02 and it has 16" rims/tires.
I'm thinking they were swapped out once upon a time, as the specs on my door jamb are all for 15".
    So......
    Not sure what to do.
Any insight would be much appreciated.
    Thank you.

    Try using this:

The pressure on the door sticker applies to the stock size and load range tire. This calculator will adjust based on the size and load range of the new tires.

Only limited 4runners have a door sticker that lists the tire pressure of 16" rims. SR5 and Base model 4runners got a sticker that specs a 15" rim regardless of what wheel size they were optioned with originally. Despite 3rd gens having the highest price of any generation (adjusted for inflation), Toyota was still too lazy to change the tire size on the door stickers.

If your 4runner has Toyota 16" rims, your vehicle likely came with them originally.

Limited 4runners with the 16" wheels list the PSI at 32, though doing the chalk test is probably a good idea since most people these days aren't buying anything close to what originally came on these 4runners.

My 2023 Limited came from the dealer with 55 lbs in all the tires even the spare!

From what I understand, they ship them over-inflated to keep the tires from developing flat spots. But, the dealership is supposed to deflate them to the proper pressure before delivery. Looks like your dealership forgot.

It makes sense that the dealer missed it. I had a 3:00 PM appointment to talk about my trade in value of my RX300 and literally was not expecting to buy a new car that day. But the Limited showed up on a truck while I was sitting there and I walked out at 7:00 PM with my new 4runner!
