Timing belt is due in about 7k miles. Does the Aisin kit attached come with everything I need or are there extra little parts I need to get as well, like thermostat or any other pulleys?

Also, I got quotes for rebooting my cv axles (both inner boots are very slightly torn) and timing belt from 3 toyota dealers and 2 local shops. The local shop I will most likely use (Holler Built), I will provide the OEM parts and will be about $15-1600 parts/labor. The 3 dealers ranged from $3500-$4500, with one saying they could maybe negotiate price. Kind of insane to me the price, but also the range for 3 dealerships all in the same area. So just remember to shop around.

I somewhat recently did mine. I used that Aisin kit from Amazon as well. It has a lot of what you need but i'm sure other things will pop up as they dig into it. For instance, i ended up replacing my radiator, coolant hoses, thermostat, idler pulley assembly, fan clutch assembly and pullies, basically everything on and forward of the front of the engine. But for the actual timing belt and water pump job, that kit does cover what you need.

Thats everything except thermostat which I recommend every time you have all that open. But if youre doing it yourself be very diligent on getting all the old FIPG off the mounting surface of the water pump of youll have a rough time with leaks.

$1500 for rebooting your CVs?? Like not rebuilding but just new boots? Get 100% rebuilt ones from CVJreman rather than that good lord.

    Just a couple
$1500 is what it should cost with all that... never ask the dealership!

I know Aisin has been the go to brand for timing belt, but Imo, anything Amazon claiming to be OEM spec has a 50/50 chance of being a knock off.
