ticking sound at idle speed

    I have a 2016 4runner starting from day one at idle speed there was a ticking sound in the motor I asked Toyota about it immediately said it was normal can anyone please tell me what is going on and is that the truth because over the years I am losing faith in Toyota I've watched the craftsmanship in their vehicles go downhill.

    Also does anyone know if there is a class action suit suing Toyota? Thank you wanted Vance for any of your help. sal

    I just read all those threads thank you for reaching out everyone seems to think it's normal about a week ago when I started it in the morning it was louder than I ever heard I was afraid to drive it I brought it to the dealer and they said nothings wrong with it and the sound went away it's just so hard these days to believe anybody specially a dealer.
